Your closing wheels for 500t are a game changer in germination percentage!!!...

They perform a lot better than the 4x12” factory closing wheels for sure, especially with the angle changer to add closing wheel angle.

Would this be soft or hard red wheat? Or maybe totally different over in Europe
@NeedhamAg28 күн бұрын
@@rferguson3719 This was milling wheat, also known as hard wheat. It takes a lot of N to build protein.
@rferguson371928 күн бұрын
@ thanks for the reply. Amazing to achieve such yields while still maintaining protein. I’m located in eastern Ontario Canada and we grow SRWW and HRSW along with the typical corn and soy. Usually average 70-75 bu on the HRSW and 100 bu for SRWW around here

@ Tim Lammyman broke the workd record wheat yield two years ago with a field which averaged 266.9 bu/ac. It was no more than 10 miles from where this video was filmed. It’s a good wheat region and close to the sea to help moderate summer temperatures!

@@NeedhamAg from what I know about stereotypical English wet mild weather, I’m sure it’s perfect for growing wheat. Although it must make harvest problematic. A lot of the grain must have to be dried? Short harvest windows between rains I would assume.
@NeedhamAg27 күн бұрын
@ Yes some years a significant amount of the wheat is dried. The area in the video has around 26” of annual rainfall, but it probably ranges from less than 20” to over 36” !

Sir how much period is required on your part to produce wheat
@NeedhamAg3 жыл бұрын
If you mean growing season (including the winter) it’s often 10-11 months in East England, but it can be a full 12 months in the South Island of New Zealand (including winter).

@@NeedhamAg we cultivate wheat from October and harvest it in April. Does the varieties of England and NZ can perform good here in Pakistan.

@@qamar6396 I’m guessing with that short of a season your growing spring wheat ? What’s shown in this video is winter wheat.
@qamar63963 жыл бұрын
@@NeedhamAg Yes the temperature increases in April more than 40°C. That's why there is short period of wheat. My question is that if I sow any wheat varity of NZ or Eng, would it perform good or not?
