Injection molded strength in non-injection molded parts isn't possible right?

I've wanted to try this for a long time, but I've never had the right materials to do the job, I didn't have a printer capable of printing those higher temperature materials either. That has changed and it is finally time to see if we can reproduce injection molded parts without actually injection molding them. "That's crazy" you say, well, it may be crazy, but I want to try it anyway, win or lose it'll interesting to see what happens.
The idea is to Print a mold and print the parts to go inside the mold and then re-heat the part to a temperature to have it melt the part, but not the mold. I want to try this for PLA, PETG and ABS as well to see the differences.
I won't give away the ending, but I will say that it didn't go quite as I had planned...
