Thank you so much for directing me to the tutorial Icelynn, I didn't even know that this was possible!. Complete beginner (well with a few small projects done now to practice techniques), I'm really keen on felting a Sheep using armature and curly locks, but locks are very expensive in the UK so if I can use your method with the wool I have, it's a win. Win for me. Have you personally used this method for curly Sheep coats or would you stick to using Blue faced Leicester locks. The crimp looks amazing 😘🏴

Thanks for posting this! Glad it doesn’t require a foam ball for the inside of the pumpkin. I didn’t want to have to go to the craft store. Haha

Made it! I did have some trouble with getting the vine to stay in a spiral though… does anyone have any tips for that? Thanks anyway, it came out beautiful!

Sometimes I have to re-twist mine tighter and let it sit a little longer. Make sure it is wet before wrapping it. And dry before removing it. Maybe try a smaller pencil. Also it needs to be real wool not acrylic to work properly. I hope that helps. Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍

Why are there different sizes of felting needles to use?

Thank you so much. And thank you for noticing. I had it made by a retired silversmith back in 2005, it was remade from a an old salt spoon.
