You need to make adjustments to the counts to allow for the extra half sts. See Elgiva Nicholls' "Tatting Techniques" 1976 for the original documentation on drop picots.

thank you very much for showing this stage. Would it be possible for you to demonstrate another necklace in a different pattern. I have seen that you have done to and I have made both several times but I would like to see something that has more attention to the center of the necklace with a focal bead. I do not know how to convert shuttle tatting or else I would be able to look at some of those patterns. I do enjoy your explanation and your demonstration very much as they are very easy to follow. I do not enjoy shuttle tanning are used to do it years ago, but since I have learned to do noodles outing I enjoy it much much more. Perhaps that is because I also do knitting and crocheting and it is very much like that and it also takes into consideration the knots that are in macramé, combinations of a left and not in the right-hand night. I do not see very many available patterns for needle to having other than what I’ve seen that you do and maybe one or two others here on KZbin but frankly I consider you to be the best educator in the field that I have found so far. Do you have a source that you could send me to wear other needle patterns are available? Could you post any other patterns for necklaces as mentioned above. All the ones that I have made I have starched and pressed and given as gifts as they make very unique gifts. I find that even young teenage girls love them no just grandmas. thank you for considering my request. And thank you for all your very educational videos..
