Thank you for sharing your technique, I've seen the landscape pictures on Pinterest, bought a starter set and sat here with it all around me and no idea how to start. I read a quote "buying for crafting and crafting are two completely separate hobbies", which I totally agree with but hopefully now I can make them one, Thank You !!

Hi Bikt, great that you enjoyed the workshop. We used two different machines - a needle felting machine and then a regular machine to do the stitching. Hope that helps!

I love your Technique! I feel like I've learned a lot. Let me share something I've found . If you don't have felt for a background, you can make your own Base by needle felting with a multi needle tool or Machine. It seems like people prefer wet felting, but I don't have the space for it so I just followed an article online and made my own Bass. It's got this interesting handmade look to it. It's not as firm looking as commercial felt but if you do it right it won't pull apart on you.

So pretty! I made a massive mistake selling my old five needle babylock machine a few years ago. I completely lost my mojo and stopped sewing😢. I’ve just now had a complete 180 and am investing in a new one. The babylock is now a twelve needle and has ability to add a yarn or ribbon on a spool. If you were to use a hoop and a water soluble stabiliser on the top, you can draw a design to follow. 😊

Great presentation, perfect job. I have a question regarding the felting machine. Where possible to buy a similar machine and what company produces it? thank you for answer
@DesignMattersTV3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure the exact same machine as ours is still available although you might find one second hand. If you Google 'felting machine' or 'embellisher machine' you should hopefully find something. You can also get a felting needle for a standard sewing machine which could be a good option if you just want to try the technique without investing in a whole new machine.
