I just started dry felting last Saturday in a class at our local art studio called Explore The Arts here in Hamilton MT. We made Christmas ornaments. I’m hooked. Initially have been trying to learn to watercolor at the studio. But I’m a seamstress and my last quilt was all embroidered squares. So I went on Amazon and purchased your book. This is the next best thing. Your work is beautiful.🦋

I'm needle felting a scene on a piece of old jeans. It's pretty fun, but I think I'll use a softer base next time. This is just beautiful.

I felt "patches" and then sew them onto denim. You must have broken a lot of needles on denim!

I have used your video and pdf to make the large picture, and I am really pleased with it, except I HD too much felted material for the hoop to stay in place. I have had to pull it away from the back and cut it. This means that some of it overlaps. Can you please advise me on how to avoid this in the future? I would have liked to share a photo with you, but there's no place for it.

hi! I’m new to felting and I’m just wondering how do you get rid of the needle marks (holes) on the surface? thank you!

I wondered if this can be used in wearables such as a jacket?
@woollymeadowsfelting Жыл бұрын
It absolutely can, sometimes people put embroidery fabric paper on the reverse side of the jacket to help protect the felting from wear and tear.

Are you using pre-felt fabric as the backing you felt on?
@woollymeadowsfelting Жыл бұрын
It's 100% Wool Felt Fabric, I prefer it to pre-felt for needle felting onto, as it gives you a sturdier backing that doesn't swallow your details. In my experience, prefelt is better suited to wet felting.

The actual painting is felted, so the design is secured by the needle which entangles the fibres through. Like all artwork though it should be handled with some degree of care. thanks :)
