Thanks Sarah 😊 you made it nice and clear to see the needles and threads you need for various projects. 🎉 I love looking at threads too but don't have a lot because I can't do the very fine hand stitching anymore. But live my dream through you and Rachel and a lovely lady from UK...Marion's World.❤❤❤

Great video. Been stitching for a while and never heard the tip of separating stranded cotton from the middle! Makes sense. Will try it today. 😊 Thank you. ❤

Thank you Sarah, great video. I am so grateful someone is addressing all the beginners staff, as not all of us have had the privilege to have a sewing background or have learned from parents. Thanks Sarah brilliant video

I think you win you have more neutral threads than me 😂😂😂. Thanks for the re upload. I find here in the UK charity shops, FB marketplace and EBay are a really good source for cheap and interesting threads. For the latter try searching vintage embroidery threads, job lot or bundle, careful searching and patience have meant I’ve far too many threads.

Sarah: I’m going to have to watch this video again for a better understanding of the threads. I seem to understand the needles, their sizes and which ones to use for what. However, I still feel a bit hazy on the threads. Maybe when I watch the video again, I’ll feel more comfortable about using what thread for a specific stitch and look. I also wonder about how many strands to use. I may still have questions. Thanks for the video. It certainly cleared up the needle questions. Carol from California

Another great video! Sarah I wonder if you or anyone else has some advice for getting the batting/stuffing out of an old damaged quilt. I’d like to take the layers apart to use in slow stitching but I’d like to avoid picking out all of the tiny quilting stitches. It was hand quilted. Maybe if i wash it in the washing machine and dry it?

What needle would you use with the sock weight yarn for thread painting? 💕💕Thanks Marie

I'd go with a crewel needle personally, but Sarah might suggest a different type?

Please could you explain the difference between Perle and crochet cotton. Many thanks form a wet and windy Oxford.

Perle cotton has a lustre to it, whereas crochet cotton is more matt
