I married a man,that was a drinkers...life was very hard and fearful. He acted out his threats.. Our children feared very much, confusion and trouble....seemed to be everywhere.When he gave up drinking,in a sober state of mind,asked all of us for forgiveness. The adult children said they forgave him,with tears. He passed away about15 years later, accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.... Praises to God,All Glory to Jesus!!!

I have real fears grounded in real threats. I'm in a war but I'm learning not to share my fears with other Christians but with Jesus alone. I've hurt myself sharing it with other Christians. They're tired of it just like he said in this sermon. All I can do is take my fear to Jesus each time the natural tells me the danger is present I fall in my knees before Jesus & cast it before Him & thank Him for the thousands upon thousands of times He has answered all my fears & prayers.

Amazing message. Is Jan 2021 and the whole country is going through turmoil. This brought so much comfort. Literally my chest has been hurting for days bc of all the worry & anxiety. Been praying a lot & asking God so many questions. I'm sure he sent this my way. Many of those questions were answered here. Wow!

By worrying can you add one day to your life? Can you add one inch to your stature? One day at a time , sometimes one hour at a time. Be led by the Spirit and not of the flesh. We are the light of the world our strength comes from GOD, so how can we fail.. it will not be easy indeed it is a fight.. the outcome is already set, cast your anxiety or fear at the Lord's feet and fear not

A wonderful common sense Christian message warning people about the folly of everyday worry. Worry that often manifests itself in groundless paranoia about difficulties in life that I have found, as a human being living in the 21st century, never actually came to pass in the way that had manifested themselves in my mind. In hindsight life will actually prove to be a lot easier than our imaginations about the future had initially perceived. If we live in Faith this truth will become ever closer.

“Needless fear” it’s brilliant. It’s true though. I carried in my spirit for many years a very unhealthy fear of my brother. As Charles’s says, “who is your accuser”? It’s spot on though. Satan is the accuser of the Christian heart. But why do we allow him to do it? Is it that we don’t believe his word as much as we say we do?

Rev Spurgeon saw clearly the utter foolishness of evolutionary teaching but he underestimated its pernicious effect in the church and world, at least by what he says in this sermon.
@holla_j3 ай бұрын
Just listening to the begining....the reason we enjoy and place more importance on temporary things and fear things in this world more than God is quite simple to understand if we are honest. We aren't sure about God and especially the afterlife. An eternity of heavenly bliss or an eternity of conscious torment. That's the obvious reason. Not one person alive is absolutely sure that there is an afterlife. If we were than we would live differently right? We had no knowledge of the universe prior to our existence, so one could argue, we shall have no knowledge of it when we are gone. We are certain of the temporary. Yes it's all temporary good and bad, but we are certain. Why live in constant fear of hell? Seems like a sure fire way (excuse the pun) to control the masses. Jesus did say I have come, so you can have life and have it in abundence did he not? If it's all about the afterlife, the Bible would be a few chapters in length. Why does the history of the Jews matter? Why would Jesus teach us so many things if this life is just a means to an end? So there is definitely something amiss here is there not? I like Spurgeon. I like sermons. But my mind keeps telling me something is well amiss. Also, Jesus said the Kingdom of God is inside you de he not? If the afterlife was a real thing than Jesus could have just talked about that all day instead of performing miracles. Once again, something is amiss. I am extremely intellectual and my intuition is off the charts. I am completely self taught as well. The Bible is interesting. I love history as well.
@whoopdewhoop715414 күн бұрын
"self taught". That's where the problem is. You need to HUMBLE yourself and learn. Start with Why Jesus said it will be hard for a rich man to enter heaven.
