Incredibly well said…I’ve noticed that sometimes a song will fall short commercially because it is “too good”. I know that sounds ridiculous, but most successful large artists hits are usually the easiest to digest from their catalog…although I think this is a top 20 performance ever on television and fantastic song craftsmanship…it can be a lot to digest for an average, passive listener.

Actually it did become a monster hit. But it was on Christian chart. NeedtoBreathe is a Christian rock band and asked Carrie to sing with them.
