NEEDTOBREATHE "The Outsiders" (From The Live Room Sessions)

The Live Room session was recorded in Studio A at the infamous Ocean Way Recordings (Los Angeles, CA) earlier this year, the same room that artists from The Beach Boys and Frank Sinatra to Whiskeytown, Radiohead, and Tom Petty used before us. Despite the fact that we were coming off of a long break from playing music together (the session was captured before the release of Rivers In the Wasteland and its following tour), we knew that the opportunity to record at Ocean Way was something we would regret passing up. We were a bit nervous because for many of these songs, this was the first time we had played them as a band since recording them. But as we began "making noise" to test the microphones and get sounds, something happened that moved us to take chances with the setlist and the song arrangements that we are so happy we were able to document. Hopefully you can feel the energy of this incredibly special time for us. In retrospect, this session represents a landmark for NEEDTOBREATHE. This is the band getting our mojo back.

Bear really has an awesome rock & roll voice! I got their very 1st album bc I thought the cover was very cool with a lion. It turned out that all the CD covers back then were designed by Bo! Great job Bo! I used to go to their concerts when there were only probably 20 concert goers at one venue. It's hard to believe, but Needtobreathe has come so far since! I was sad that Bo left the band and started his own music journey... Bo is very talented and also has a nice voice. Continue to compose great music with soul & heart!

Not to diss this band, but their band name is by far the worst name for a pop country band I've ever seen. When I see their name I instantly think of a low-key emo band, not a pop country band which btw have music which is just very bland and nothing that stands out (in my opinion). All this song is, is just an unbelievably easy and catchy song which could fit for those who for some reason feel like they stand out. Now I have nothing against that idea (you do you). But the lyrics are in my opinion nothing to say interesting, more so just generic for the title. ~ I can breathe already so pls don't tell me I have a need to breathe!
