Following all the comments talking about how the sound is more "poppy". That never really struck me when I was listening to this. I love the original and always will, but the combination of Bear and Elle's voices on the harmony literally gave me chills listening! Yes, the tone is different but the message is still there. Much like the collaboration with Gavin DeGraw on Brother, I think this is a win!

The original feels like it comes from a place of anguish. It sounds like the singer is tortured inside. This is "too poppy" and contrived, BUT if it directs people to the original and the rest of the album, then that's ok. I don't know why the original isn't climbing the charts?

And here's the condescending judgmental comment I was looking for as soon as I saw they did this song with her singing. I knew it had to be around here somewhere. Elle is not a Christian artist but she did a Christian song, we should be applauding that fact because she found something in Christ that resonated with her even if she didn't "get saved." Instead you act like God only ever used perfect people. Hmmm, what about the prostitute that saved the Israelite spies when they infiltrated Jericho. What about the mystics who were one of the first people to see baby Jesus. What about the fact that one of Jesus's direct ancestors was a pagan from another land who followed God because she loved her mother in law. What about the woman who was Jesus's best friend who started off as a prostitute possessed by demons? What about those people, imagine if God hadn't chosen them? If God only ever chose perfect people, well, we'd all be doomed because none of us are. Make better choices and God bless
