I love it’s placement at the end of episode 226 when Ichigo shows up to face Ulquiorra for the final time and to save Orihime. It’s the episode that sets up their fight but then goes into a filler arc.

i never understood the hate towards her like she almost died by her hollow brother, she was kidnapped and was beaten up yet she still able to hold a smile and doesnt want to hurt anybody including her enemies, people will say she is annoying and doesnt do anything but that doesnt make her a bad character.

@@Shaye.J Not really. I think it is more a dislike of the ones who wrote her character for some of us. As unfair as it would be to put on any regular person, she is just unremarkable compared to the others. I think this arc is amazing for her and actually really realistic in behavior for her... I just think that realistic is not always satisfying. SPOILER BELOW FOR ANIME-------------------------- I actually appreciate Inoue's perspective in this arc, and she is "strong" in many areas. However, it keeps upping the expectations that she can be on par with our other characters.... yet it is almost sad, because it tends to feel like everyone just feels sorry for her. She has quite a large role in Bleach, but I don't want to spend 99% of her time on screen feeling sorry for her or watch her rely solely on others because she is so weak that others feel sorry for her, yet still feel the need to have to include her. You see that Ichigo really hears her and you see it twice.... but that is it. Besides being held captive, that is her contribution to this... and that is annoying when you are waiting for... something.

Its actually baffling that people actually ship ichigo and rukia even after this episode. Even tho it was pretty much a lost cause since the beginning because it was beyond obvious that ichihime was the canon ship, i can understand people being trying to live a dream up to this point, after this its just complete delusion

@@xxi404 you are right Its more like a friend than lover and we also got a bit of Orihime feeling in early arc, and although i also ship the Ichigo-Rukia at first it didnt take me long enough to 141 episode to realise this after Rukia-Renji backstory at the early arc i prefer them together, theyve been togther for a really long time, sharing up and down in their life

I’ve grown to really like Orihime in the series. Even though she is kind of a passive character, she is still very likable. It hits me in the feels to see someone as kind and goofy as her cry. I feel like the anime sabotaged her slightly by implying something between Ichigo and Rukia early on, but eventually it’s easy to see that Orihime is the one who keeps Ichigo in her heart.

To this day i still don´t understand how people can ship Rukia with Ichigo. From the very start of series we are told that orihime already has a crush on him and Rukia and Renji have a past together. Most importantly Ichigo is a human and Rukia is a Soul Reaper, Ichigo is going to die at age 80 while Rukia can live for centuries/thoudands of years, them having a romantic relationship would never work. There´s so many moments that show the development of Ichigo and Orihime relationship in the manga that were not animated, while filler moments with RUkia and Ichigo were done, also showing that the anime team didn´t even relalise the situation owuld never work between them.

@@blackcoast5180 Ichigo parents is not an argument at all. Misaki is a quincy aka she ages like a normal human. Isshin was turned into a human via the gigai aka he also ages like a human. They would both live and age like humans compareed to ichigo dying at 80 years old while Rukia wouln´t even gain 1 wrinkle during that time. Imagine a 20 year old looking Rukia being in a married realtionship with an 80 year old looking man full of wrinkles and needing help to get up, doesn´t work at all. Only way was to turn Rukia into a human with the same gigai isshin used but that doesn´t make sense for her character because she stated in the end of soul society that she does not want to give up her life there. So yes the argument of one being a human and the other a being that lives for centuries applies

@@narttaker93 furthermore, we hv to take account that isshin is also a noble meaning he was born in soul society and never was a human in the first place while rukia isn't a true noble meaning she came to soul society after dying as a human. The relationship will kinda destroy the whole life death cycle since someone who died long ago can just come back and restart living a normal human life. So we don't really know for sure that a relationship between human/soul can actually work at all really.

@@narttaker93 my point was, Isshin and rukia's circumstances are wayyy too different like isshin can be turned into a human since he wasn't a human in the first place while rukia is a dead human so she can't just cheat death and live as a human again. If that happens then what's the point of dying and living anymore.

As much as I love Rukia, she is my favourite bleach female, but The Ichigo X Orihime ship is the canon one ^^ and I am 100% ok with it. I'm a little confused about Ichigo being "injured". It sounds as if he is passed out because of the cut to his hand, which doesn't seem like a big deal to me. In Ulquiorra's case, it was a hole through the chest, so the reiatsu stuff and not being able to heal the wound makes sense as to why he would remain unconscious. I guess it could be explained if he is just knocked out because of exhaustion after the fight, what with extensive usage of the Hollow mask, and the injury to the hand is unrelated.

It's not like she was trying to ride him while he slept. Did you think the prince in Sleeping Beauty was a sexual predator cause she was sleeping at the time? This scene is a 15 year old girl trying to find a way to say goodbye to someone she fell in love with and struggling. So yeah not the same as actually breaking and entering and stealing. The scene is her thinking it's the last time she'll ever see the guy she lives so she struggles with what to do. And in the end realizes kissing him is not right so just talks about it silently instead. I don't see an issue here.

💀 we must not be watching the same show. I don’t know about future but where I’m at in the anime, she IS powerful as a healer and she DOES want to fight and get stronger but the problem is that her power is so unique that she doesn’t have anyone who can teach her how to do so. She was rejected and told to sit out before she even got to train(Even Aizen as an enemy saw the value in her). She’s also the reason why rukia, ichigo and chad didn’t die so I think she’s done more than enough to carry her own weight. If people can’t understand that then I don’t know what to say

@@NeelDesai That's what I'm talking about....she has a pretty unique power same like Hachi (That Big fat Visord)... but her potential felt wasted.... by not providing a proper mentor I always felt her being left behind....her unique power is not only for healing you know.....You'll soon get to see how Hachi uses his power....there were so many possibilities to use her abilities but Kubo decided to go with Healing only.....Yeah Aizen definitely saw her value but then it felt like Orihime was there just for a sweet vacation...they didn't show any further interest in Orihime.....after the battle of Ulquiora it was only Ichigo who got the spotlight among his team (Ishida Chad and Orihime) I hate when animes do that introducing a character with potential and then treat them like NPCs

If you say any farther, your friends die", just two episodes ago. You just chose to ignore Orihime's words during her conversation with Rengiku. Ishida could have been dead even before Orihime have a chance to get in his way, if Orihime didn't save their lives with the cleaner. You are definitely watching different show.
