@@ivanzare8594 They were not overhyped, it was you who underestimated captains of Gotei 13. Starrk fought 4 captains, Halibel fought 3 captain-class opponents and was took down only by Aizen. Top Espada is nothing for senior captains: Yamamoto, Shunsui, Aizen, Gin, Unohana, Urahara, Isshin.

This is, a top 5 moment in Bleach. This is up there with finding out Aizen was still alive & the antagonist. Because absolutely everyone was sure that Ulquiorra was the Primera. And is still probably, along with Grimmjow, the most popular. It's his borderline immovable strength combined with a lack of animated personality that makes him scary. I'm not even sure he's actually talking shit. He's literally just assessing the situation & calling it how he sees it. lol Ulquiorra : 😶

I think people forget that the Ranking of the Espada is only based on how much total reatsu they have, it doesn´t consider abilites, hacks, speed, inteligence and other aspects it´s only reatsu. So yes the numbers are a good way to have an ideia on how strong an Espada is but thhey don´t tell the full story

Yeah, part of me has been like "why did Aizen rank just on that," but considering how much bs there is over just rankings and authority, I think Kubo did put some thought into Aizen doing it for a reason.

I'm not an old bleach fan, I recently completed bleach so I can't tell if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I think ulquiora is the best espada for me, even better than the espada number 3,2,1.

SPOILER: and from getting no diffed like this bro leveled up to god mode in a few hours? days? Sure its shonen and hes the mc but Itchigos power growth is absolutely silly at times. This and then later with the 3 Month time capsule are the most outrages ones, maybe the one at the very start were he learned bankai in "5min"; but hey what ever. Also Ulquiorra being humble, full power Ulq claps nearly everyone in verse at this point. (everyone known at that point) Like Itchigo has to go full plot armor for him, the same way he has to, to beat Aizen - so I dont count the MC - the top 3 espada are strong, but Ranking is just Retsu not actual power, not to mention Ulqs 2 Form is not included in that assessment. The capatains are worse then Itchigo in terms of power scaling - they are always just strong enough for their current opponent. It was said that Vastor lorde are stronger then captains, and Anrancar are even stronger - but captains 1 v 1 them sometimes without bankai. The same captains that were "beaten" in the very early arc or even in the fight vs the Quincy...

@@sukuna716 they are numbered according to their reiatsu level in base form, that's why Yammy's number change when he releases, because in base form he has the shortest amount of reiatsu. Yammy's number change because his reiatsu is potentially bottomless so he is number zero in released form, but that's all there is about it.
