Iirc ppl mentioned it was around the period of them putting time and money into the Prisoner of the Sky movie And that movie didn't do too well. And that basically affected the main line. Partially of the fact that despite S2 being well loved and praised by alot, if you stand back and read the like and dislikes. It was actually fairly even Alot of ppl didn't like that the animation was already dropped quality despite it being very much acceptable cux of the way it was choreographed with the story, the execution and direction basically made up the slight drop of animation as compared to S1 quality So it could very well be part of the reason for Prisoner of Sky lack of profits. And that movie was a fairly good and important for hints and foreshadow of the upcoming plot and beyond. So budget drop, and they went to another studio to do S3. As for what really happened with studio, it was unknown, maybe the studio had better priorities for other animations and 7DS was on the lower end. And there was too much shit going on for S3 portion as compared to S1 and S2 actions S3 was by far had the most potential dynamics in animation. So too much workload and complexity probably had a hand in its massive quality drop S1 and S2 had alot of repetitive scenes as well such as Meliodas feeling up Elizabeth, like 4 secs of it happening and they only need to do 1 sec and simply loop it and can proceed the next bit S3 had no such "shortcut" moments, every scene is unique and no repetition. So meaning every scene and every frame had to be done Alot of factors can come into play honestly Look at Black Clover, it was basically suffered as a lower priority due to Boruto on the higher end of the list despite their stupidly amount of fillers instead of actual progression like it's source and honestly waste of resources to put up so much for the fillers esp when they don't adapt it to the anime counterpart so all the character growth are basixally "deleted" for any filler

I wouldnt say its false advertising for OP3 You can take it as symbolism As we the viewers are like our only hope is the 7DS to fend off the 10 Commandments And we learnt later that 7DS were originally formed for the sake of counterattacking 10 Commandments So as a symbolism, we see the silhouettes of the 7. Then when the 10 commandments came, 7DS are the ones to square off and despite their hardest, the moment Zeldris just uses his power, 6 of them are easily knocked down, showing their struggle. Then the 1 man who came and make a huge difference in the lack of strength of the 7, who can just come in and sweep the floor quite literally with everyone So yea, not quite the surface looks, just more symbolic that i came to realise after
