Although its not entirely canon because its not in the Light Novel, but since the author did write it back before he started the SAO LN, you can just imagine that's what happened in bed

Each crystal have different effect, the blue crystal allow you to teleport and it will lead to the place the user have marked, the green crystal allow you to cure side effect but one crystal can only cure one side effect (bascially antidote), red crystal allow you to heal to maximum, yellow i'm not sure but i think it can boost the stat of the skill the player want to boost

Yeah, Kuradeel didn’t think this one through. The fact his icon turned red indicated he murdered players, and the whole “we were attacked” was never going to fly - because attacking red players is fair game for green players. It’s why neither Asuna nor Kirito turned red when they killed Kuradeel. I will agree with Kuradeel on one thing, though - Godfrey was a freaking idiot. I can kind of get taking the teleport crystals, but taking ALL the support items? He was literally begging for this betrayal to happen.

In episode 4 it's directly stated that it's common for red players to lure people into the trap by guildmates with green cursor. Kuradeel would've easily lied that he got one such player in the process. Well, in a way, Godfrey tried to ensure that if anything happens - Kirito wouldn't just leave them to die there, but... yeah... xD

There was no correlation of difficulty to Kirito's level. The problem was that him helping the group level up too fast for their own good built the overconfidence that killed them. On top of it, Kirito believes that if he didn't hid his level - they either would've listened to him before doing such a thing, or he wouldn't have been a part of the group and they developed at lower speed and avoided this. As for the novel - there's an extra scene between them finding the room and opening the chest, where Kirito told them not to open it, but wasn't able to defend his position because was afraid his true level and knowledge would be discovered if he properly explains his suspicions about possibly higher difficulty trap on the chest. They outvoted him and opened it. They knew it's possible that it's trapped - their "thief" in a group simply didn't have high enough skill level to discover it and disarm. The trap didn't spawn the monsters, it made a loud noise that brought the monsters from across the dungeon into the room.

man... going through the series again by watching your reactions really makes me realise how rushed the character development was in the SAO arc. the movies add some context and development, sure, but in terms of the original anime, im really disappointed by how fast everything moves and how sudden kirito and asuna's relationship grew. i say this as an avid fan of SAO, because i think it could have been so much more than what it turned out to be. they really should've fleshed out the SAO arc more and made like 2 seasons of just aincrad.

yeah i feel you but i think nothing beats how fast the pacing on Index season 3 is. I feel like watching 6x fast forward movie 😭 I guess LN really is hard to animate. But I think Re:zero have a decent pacing. SAO seems a little fast but you can still understand what's happening, it only cut the more detailed scenes that can add up to more character depth of the mc's, unlike Index 3 it so rush that its hard to understand what's going on in the story. Disappointed cause the light novel is a masterpiece

@@Leuncode i don't mean that it was sudden in a canonical sense, i mean it was sudden in an 'anime pacing' sense. the entire romance between kirito and asuna took place over 4 episodes, if you don't count the very first episode. not only that, half of the time during those 4 episodes is not entirely focused on their relationship. my point being that although i love SAO very much, this is simply too fast for any romance, no matter how good the premise, to develop properly. which is why i mentioned that i wished they would've made 2 seasons of aincrad, so it could've been much more fleshed out and therefore more fulfilling.

​@@inkyeo honestly, I never cared about the number of episodes being the reference for speed or time - even a single 20 minutes episode is capable of telling a compelling story. 4 episodes is already a territory of a movie length either way, so if it would've been too fast - no movie ever would've worked. If the story says there's half a year of work - I see half a year of work. At the time of the making, there literally was not enough content to make 2 seasons of Aincrad. Furthermore, it's the way that SAO is, that it was able to work so well and be as popular as it is today. It pretty much did the same thing as Star Wars did at the time, at least in the novels - anime reordered the stories into chronological way.

You may be confused by non-canon 16.5 from the webnovel times, and webnovels aren't canon anymore either and were rewritten into the light novels that anime adapts. But modern Sugary Days sidestories? They do imply what happened there and some more :D

1. Canonically, if it's poison paralysis you can move one hand - that's made so you could actually *use* the anit-paralysis crystal. Kirito simply used that hand. 2. Your color does not change if you hit the orange players, otherwise both Kirito and Asuna would've been marked as criminals this episode. Trick is - as was shown in episode 4, orange players oftentimes have green ones in their groups to lure people into the trap - Kuradeel would've explained his color change by killing one such player.

laughing coffin it's not a guild, just an unofficial group of pkrs to better coordinate/hunt, remember that if you're part of a guild a mark appears on your character, and i don't think they would want to have a ''murderer'' mark 24/7 (even if there is a orange/red mark if the player has attacked another they can talk their way out, with the guild mark there would be no place for doubt)

I think I actually would like the SAO world more because the current real life is as scary, stupid and surreal as SAO. But in SAO you dont have goverments and your safe in towns, in reallife you arent safe anywhere you can get killed everywhere but in SAO its only outside of towns, I mean yes there are tricks to kill people in towns but for example in the anime we have only seen one of those tricks we havent seen any sleep pk's.

Any utopia can turn to shit with time. And there're germa of government there already - guilds have a lot of power, remember the totalitarian one that ruled in the lower level areas? So yup, it wouldn't last long, people would find more ways to abuse the system and gain an upper hand.

I don't think anyone said it, but in the Light Novel that this was adapted from, Asuna is the one who kills Kuradeel, or at least I remember people talking about it :D

The Light novels anime adapts have Kirito killing him. What people are commonly referring to are the older webnovels that were rewritten into LNs and aren't canon anymore :)
