It's not that Gowther had the power to remove his grace, the grace left of its own accord when Estarossa became a demon and absorbed the commandment. After 3,000 years, it chose its new host, Escanor.

The way i like to think of it is ESTAROSA killed monspiet, and hes dead now, gowther killed(erased) him. So as soon as mael stops taking crazy pills(commandments) we can start over, clean slate.

Your thoughts on King’s new design are about the same as mine were. I was conflicted. It was an awesome and well deserved moment for my favourite character but his hair really did seem a bit goofy at first (especially in the manga lol), and his wings low key aren’t as pretty as the other Fairy Kings or even Elaine’s to me. But it definitely grows on you a LOT over time! It’s been like 2 or 3 years since I first saw it and I genuinely love it now! It really fits how regal he becomes. A true Fairy King! But yes, as you see later in the season, his original design isn’t completely gone. He can still revert back to that form if he’s really low on power or exhausted. And probably if he chooses to as well (as can Elaine, as you later see)

@@azrael_morningstar Neither Mael nor Estarossa was ever on par with Demon King, demon king is strong, hella strong, only arthur's cath, supreme deity, or barely Meliodas (less than barely, he could probably scratch that guy) at his peak was capable of taking on that guy. Mael at his peak was fighting meliodas's assault mode equally, and the fact that mael's 'the one' only last for a minute and Meliodas's assault mode can last forever. You haven't seen nothing of meliodas yet, but you are going to, because Meliodas at this moment at his absolute peak and will gain godly powers soon.

Fyi Neel, Escanor is way more stronger than Mael cuz simply Escanor is HIM. He's more worthy of the Grace but since he's human, it's limited on how much Escanor can use the power of the grace. Just Imagine if Escanor is born from an Angel race. In my religion there's an Archangel by the name Michael, the strongest angel. I can see Escanor being written based on him if he were to born an Angel (Edit) When I said "Escanor is stronger than Mael" what I meant is if those two are on equal footing where both can use the grace fully without being limited by the vessel

When gowther altered everybody memories and mael mind he even altered supreme diety and demon king mind and demon king subconsciously placed a commandment to mael which made him a demon grace leaving his body bcz he's a demon now kind of and waited in lay to find a suitable host after 3000 years it finally found one escanor that's how it went i think
