It feels like any generic isekai, the only thing that differentiates it from the others is that they made a good joke at the beginning, but the development of everything else is almost like any isekai that for some reason is impossible for them to get out of the video game formula, it literally even has a bot that talks to the protagonist

Ok because I don't think they ever properly explain this in the show and since it doesn't spoil anything (think this first came out in 2018) the voice we hear as our soon to be slime guy is dying is called the "Words of the World" (depending on the source and translation) where the World itself announces sudden changes in a person's status (like gaining a skill or something). Sometimes its out loud for everyone in the area to hear, other times only the person in question can hear it. In our slime's case later on his skill Great Sage figured out a way to "hack" the "Words of the World" so his skill can internally communicate with him.

There is actually a condition called Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA) which is actually pretty dangerous because pain is kinda important. It's super rare but it causes quite a few problems, especially in children like self harm from accidents. Also I love this show. Great Sage is kinda the exposition character that helps make the story make sense without dragging it out. And yeah predator is a super OP technique.

Probably too late but to clarify... the screwing every girl turning into the predator skill has several layers of mistranslation due to cultural and language barriers... He said i didn't have any love this life (because i was not aggressive enough) so i will be more aggressive next time... then the voice confirmed the acquisition of "predator"... But his words were "next time i will devour every woman i see"... In japanese people who are aggressive when pursuing a person in a relationship (you can use the term relationship loosely) are considered to be "carnivores" when the ones who never pushed into it are considered "herbivores"... So when he said he would devour every woman in his next life... he meant that he would become a "carnivore" instead of a "herbivore" in his next life... meaning he would actually look for a woman, a relationship... but the voice misunderstood that as just plain eating anything in his path therefore "predator"...

I agree, Isekai is very interesting but somehow they often miss by centering on fan service and power fantasy aspect. Slime is really good because as any isekai it has those aspects but does really well without them and most importantly, the characters all looks special in some way, not because the story dictates they are special

But there are other characters that is also reincarnated in Central World (Main World) and I don't want to mention them, and some characters are not just summoned some of them where just been transported in that world by a unexplainable phenomenon and they are called Stray Otherworlders example of Stray is Hinata Sakaguchi, plus obtaining a unique skill is through strong desire of a character before and after they traverse to that world, Satoru Mikami has an unexpected strong desire to screw up girls he see so that's why the Voice of the World give him a unique skill "Predator" that related to his desire but different meaning of uses

The first time i got reincarnated as a slime was fortunetly and unfortunately the first isekai i watched. It made me in love with the concept of isekais and im always looking for a good isekai to watch, however many times i am often disappointed because TTIGRAAS and Mushoku Tensei are in a League of their own compared to other isekais. Im not usally one to comment however i felt the need to do it in this case, in hope that you continue to watch it, based on your previous reactions i do believe this Anime will be to your liking, season 1 is great, but season 2 is where it really shines, and i think you will like the characters drip in S2. Keep up the good work!

Sadly... most of the anime watchers today "can't appreciate" the full reason why so many isekai nowadays are so special... a lot of people get introduced to the genre through the best stories which are the ones that deconstruct the genre without actually knowing the original "sets of rules" that governed them... so they do not get that feeling of freshness and miss a few of the things in it tha make it special and different...
