Neemy is going to continue to improve and keep building up confidence. He’s only going to get better as long as he plays.

Before arriving at the Celtics Queta had only played in about 20 NBA games in two seasons. No way he could be a complete NBA player at that time, still a LOT to learn.
@michaelcoffey19918 күн бұрын
Love Queta wish he would get/allowed to get 15 to 18 minutes ea game to rest Al til after the all star break ad the playoffs. As always @John thanks for the knowledge and the community here

Not worried over the GSW game. We were missing our 2nd and 3rd scoring options....JB and KP. We saw on 3/3/2024 that the Celtics can beat down the Warriors 140-88. Steph only scored 4 pts. Klay and Dray 6 pts each.
@arnaldorodriguez14838 күн бұрын
A starting lineup of DW, JB, JT, KP, Queta would be an interesting matchup vs opponents like the Cavs. It also would create a strong balanced bench with Jrue, PP, Hauser, Horford, Luke.

Think Tillman matches up better v Cavs over Kornet due to more athletic bigs. Kornet solid against bigger bodies like Knicks & Heat imo but Mazulla got solid options for sure ☘︎

I like Queta i believe around big Al and getting more time he will be really good next season i believe

He's already useful. He's going to get minutes in the playoffs.

You know you got something good going when you see flashes of Rob in Queta. Although he is what I call Bambi footed he is highly energetic and can be huge for us.
@mathewsousa39158 күн бұрын
Dude, you’re the first person I’ve heard Describe his lower body as baby deer like. Lol I’ve been saying this, I think if he worked on his legs, no homo, he would have a more stable frame.
@mathewsousa39158 күн бұрын
Yo, I’ve been saying The way he moves is like a baby deer lol. It’s because he needs to put some muscle on those legs no homo, but I think that would give him a better base and help with balance he could lean into his shot instead of fading away because he would have the strength. Him and Porzingis have skinny legs. I think it’s a seven footer thing.
@mathewsousa39158 күн бұрын
U know who else is kind of deer footed. KAT. I just thought about that. I think neemy just needs to put some muscle on his legs which would give him a stronger base and better balance but it’s possible to be deer footed and good. lol after u said that I was thinking if there was any successful nba players with that body type
@mathewsousa39158 күн бұрын
Definitely not saying he’s going to be as good as kat

Queta is a legit player. He just needs some time in the position. His real issue is making those tap ins and short shots.
@directedbysunny8 күн бұрын
I’ve been saying the same thing about the Rob comparisons. I’ll give Queta the upper hand in moving his feet though. You can tell he probably played soccer coming up the way he can get back in transition while staying in front of who he’s defending
@JoseSantos-zj3ll8 күн бұрын
Yes, he played "soccer".

Look, IMO, it's just the latest in the C's recent run of player development success stories--low ceiling guys they take time/effort to develop and make USEFUL; maybe slightly better than we first thought. That's good; let's not lose our minds here.
@danielthompson39288 күн бұрын
Rob sure looked big for just 6’ 9”. I had to google it when John said it.
@solar68118 күн бұрын
I genuinely think he's got the body of a 6'11 guy but his neck is abnormally short. Drew Peterson is the opposite where I feel like he's an average 6'7 guy with a long neck that makes him 6'9.

Who the hell is calling Neemie Rob 2.0? Do those people actually watch basketball or rely on Felger & Mazz for b-ball takes? Ridiculous.

The obvious with Tatum was after couple vg games in the start he would be bombs away. His superpower is the threat of shooting and facilitating every one else. He forgets sometimes. He can obviously also get the tough shots especially drives when really needed but even then he kicks 🦵 it out a lot. We need pass first Tatum back People get confused Tatum is the best player but Brown is a better pure scorer. And btw the Celtics were missing two players who would be the best player on half of NBA teams vs GSW.

I don't want Neemi to become Rob Williams 2.0...this game of explosiveness, hard dunking, crazy shot blocking ended Rob prime early in his career! I just don't want the same for Queta and i trully hope Rob recovers well because he is a great player! We love this type of athletes, very explosive but their knees don't love them the same way....DRose, Rob Williams, Grant Hill, etc etc

The reason he gets Rob comparisons isn't just because he's big and athletic, it's that he's big and athletic with flaws that make you want to scream, but you have to weigh those against the positives he provides. Just like with Rob, you've got a lot of people staring at the negatives and saying they're hurting you too much, while the impact metrics say he's incredibly useful despite the glaring flaws. Their games aren't exactly the same, but the conversation and controversy around them is. You can even liken Neemy to Jaylen in the past. Jaylen is amazing but couldn't dribble a ball half the time and takes ill-advised shots, however, you had to live with it because ultimately the ridiculous shot making outweighed the frustrating amount of turnovers.

Why, John? (why?) Why (why?) tell 'em it's a human nature game? Why (why?), why (why?) Did you do us that way? Why (why?), why (why?) And no new Tom names today. Why (why?), why (why?) He likes podding this way. With no Tom puns today. I was chuckling so hard while typing this, after hearing you say something about a "human nature game".
