It is definitely strong, but as a mostly solo 5 star I've yet to see anyone actually use it in a match against me. What I have seen is about a million mosins and krags. Honestly the Maynard is a breath of fresh air. Good damage and range for a veeery slow reload. The bleed ammo being allowed is another matter though. As a solo I already despise bleed and fire ammo since getting lit on fire or bled at close range against a duo or trio is most likely a lost fight. Excited to see how they plan on changing the availability of the special ammos in the near future though.

I was using this earlier just unlocked it lol and it’s fun had a nasty head shot with it. I don’t have the dum dum ammo unlocked yet tho. I tired the spitfire pistol also it’s good I like it also. Ha ha this thing is kinda long! 😂 Thts Wht she said!! 😂

I know it’s been a while since the change but I stopped playing because of it and would like to know your opinion: How do you feel about them reverting the solo revive to one revive again against teams of trios and duos who can revive upwards of 5 times each in hectic fights where body control can be hard? I preference it this way since the main complaint against solo revives was players inability to burn or barb solo player bodies, so clearly it must’ve been during hectic fights or due to poor player decision making to not prioritize carrying or finding burn materials. Otherwise the multiple revives weren’t a problem at all. In my opinion it seems nonsense that teams can revive so much but solos, who are already at a man disadvantage, only get 1 extra life.

Well since you asked: Dumdum on the Maynard was a mistake and should not be in the game. Technically they didn't lie when they said they'd never give us Sparks dumdum, but this is equally as terrible. The tight bloom from hipfire is equally as bad, as it turns this gun into a formidable weapon at any range. It's too overtuned. Especially if you're already in a team fight with everything else going on and get third partied. Player agency has been degraded, again, with this ammo/gun combo. I'm not a fan and I'm hopeful for a nerf in the future. Or, barring that, gimme a rework on Bloodless trait. Bloodless should make it so you can't die to a bleed effect. You can be 1hp and still be bleeding, but you won't die.

I mean Nitro shredder (dumdum) exists too. They purposfully put a scope on the Maynard to balance it just like with the Nitro's apperture sight. So just like with the Nitro you can hipfire and pray to RNJesus or you can aim with it at close range but it's definitely less than ideal. Of course Nitro costs vastly more but I dont really believe money is actually balancing weapons, at least it doesnt do that in high MMR. With the next patch they're gonna make certain ammo types for certain weapons "scarce" Maybe the Maynard will be among that. But if they do...I mean what's the point of the Maynard then. Sparks would just be better in every situation. I also dont think Bloodless should prevent players from dying to bleed. I mean they did that a few events back where if you had a certain pact and bloodless it would instantly stop the bleed, I think if they bring that back for events it would be fine.

@@heyiamnick4144 If I'm going to spend the points on a trait, it should be useful. Only reason anybody takes bloodless now is when they pick it up in the wild in order to refund it for points. Not being able to bleed out, but still being stuck bleeding and on 1HP is usually enough to remove a person from the fight temporarily. You still have to spend the points and a slot on the trait. Maybe make it so you take longer to bleed out and treat it like the new salveskin. Who knows! And if the whole point of bringing a gun is "Well it's just broken" then I would argue that maybe that's not a good addition to a gun roster. And while I don't necessarily disagree with your nitro analogy, the fact that the bloom on the Maynard is 1/3 the size of the nitro helps push it along. There's just a LOT less praying you have to do with the Maynard. Making the ammo scarce might help a little, but it's just putting a bandage over the wound and not actually addressing it.

@@OgreBanani a trait should be useful, it shouldn’t outright save you from dying. Maybe if the trait costs like 8-10 points then yeah maybe I can see that happening. But if bloodless at its current cost just prevents you from bleeding out at all, that’s just bad and kills dumdum ammo as a whole. Bloodless already does slow down the bleed effect just like salve skin does with fire. Because it’ll keep you on light bleed, which is slower and not as rapid. Well and if the small crosshair is the issue then the easier solution would be to just make it bigger so you can’t hipfire it as easily. Again dumdum is right now one of the few things I see about the Maynard that actually make it worth picking. Otherwise what’s the point.

As a 6 star, I can assure you, Maynards are not used at all. In lower MMR lobbies where people don't have perfect aim or positioning, yes, I could see Maynard Dum Dum being annoying, but it's simply another single shot rifle in the current meta of spam with shotguns and what have you. Why bleed people when I can just click their head?

Maynard is way overpowered! Is basically a "better" Sparks. You have way more ammo than with the sparks deal almost the same amount of damage. Only downside is the 5 second reload. The Sparks gets rekt more and more. Maynard is with dumdum a Nitro in cheap.

We can be happy Crytek decided to put a sniper scope on the maynard and thus most people use it like that. Imagine it would have a lesser scope so more people would go into closer ranges, fighting this gun in a compound is beyond unfair ^^

The gun is very overtuned and crytek obviously know it is but honestly, this is standard practice for live service games, its the old "ohhhhh nooooooo we accidentally made the new gun super op and tons of fun to use :( oh god we hope you don't all flock to play the game lots (and maybe buy a skin or two hehe) while we s l o w l y get around to nerfing it, that would be awful :( unless???"

The only difference here is the gun isn’t locked behind any pay windows since the event left. Crytek can’t even fix their search bar, let alone plan some nefarious P2W scheme

I use shitty weapons and get skins for those instead, Mosin Nagant? Nah. We got the Nagant Deadeye/stock with Rattlesnake skin. Dolch spammers? Meet my shitty 3 shot bornheim that'll need traits to reload practically, and need 2 taps to set people ablaze. Crown & King? Nope! Romero time with hatchet or axe, one shot, and unlimited jabs to the enemies heads! Avtomat? Nahhh. Winfield with levering. I dislike Meta weapons and typically refuse to buy them but i dont refuse to use them, dead hunter with good gear? Mine now 😂

I hope this is not rude but I really enjoy your Teammates in the last few videos I watched. I am not sure if they are different people or just in a better mood but everybody is laughing and talking. Before it sometimes seemed like you barely talked to your Teammates to the point I mostly did not enjoy videos where you weren't solo.
