Neeraj Pandey - One of my all time favourite directors. Baby, Special Ops 1 & 1.5 and A Wednesday were excellent. But, I am highly disappointed with Auron Mein Kahaan Dum Tha. Poor writing & poor execution. Hope he bounces back with Sikandar Ka Muqaddar 👍

In RJ Balaji's interview, BR says in one of his last interviews, within the first two mins he knew the subject was not interested and the interview wasnt going anywhere. We think he meant this interview with Neeraj

Although Neeraj Pandey's directorial debut #AWednesday is one of the finest debuts ever, my opinion about Neeraj Pandey as a director has been quite lukewarm since the last few years. Given the fact that his last 2 feature films as director i.e #Aiyaary and #AMKDT were flops, with the former having a genuinely messed up screenplay, he still has a lot of good material to offer. His web series #SpecialOps is certainly one of my favorites. Even the docu-series #BandonMeinThaDum about the Indian cricket team's Australia series was also a nice watch. But the recurring problem with his projects is that look-wise they appear quite routine, with no extra effort given to make the cinematography look international. If I compare it with the #YRFSpyUniverse both in terms of thrill and technical brilliance , the latter is superior. Also his frequent overusing of the Islamophobic template even in his productions like #TheFreelancer has made lose trust in him as a creator to an extent. Also barring #VikramVedha (HINDI) post #ToiletEkPremKatha none of the films that he has produced has been able to get any decent reviews. But nevertheless he is a very sharp producer and filmmaker. He knows how to skillfully overcome the pressures of having delivered flops and manage budgets efficiently. I also like the fact that he is fostering documentary filmmaking with his SECRETS series on DISCOVERY + . I am really looking forward to his upcoming projects #KhakeeTheBengalChapter , #SpecialOps2 #SKM and the film with Saiyami Kher.

@@MahaTalkiezYou did not get his point. He said that even though Neeraj's films are very well written, they are not that well directed. Ofcourse Pathaan is a weaker film than Baby, for example. But the cinematography in Pathaan was far superior. Also, the hand to hand fight sequences in Pathaan were very well choreographed and very well shot. But the fight sequences in Baby were adequate at best. Pandey can be a great writer. But he is a very average director. He needs to upgrade if he wants his films to stand out.

@krishshautriya5170 he is comparing technical aspects of 2023 film to 2015 film.. He is too intelligent.. I didn't find any flaws in Baby It's technically also superior film like Hollywood.. It's not like typical Bollywood film where spy's dancing on songs and all..

@@MahaTalkiez Of course, in terms of sensibilities Baby and the YRF Spy Universe films are distinctly different. But often NP's overuse of long steadicam shots which is often considered his signature identity, takes away the interest of the audience.
