MSG Racing are running a Suzuki GSX-R750 in the British Supersport championship. I speak to MSG's Daniel Diamond to see what makes it tick, what mods would work on my own GSX-R750 road bike and get to ride it around Cadwell Park at Suzuki Live.

Neevesy, it's really refreshing to know that even someone with your vast road-testing and racing experience still gets a thrill from improving your own bike, which for many of us is a big part of motorbike ownership.

As an owner of an 'old' bike myself (2002 Sprint 955i), I appreciate your digging into the GSXR to see how the bike can be developed. Reviews of expensive new bikes is all fine and good, but many of (most?) are still finding fun and pleasure in the old ones. Cheers!

GSX-R750 pure love :) Thank you for being a champion for my favourite bike (and as a K1 owner). I love how so many bike journalists and ex racers love the Gixxer 750. It gets under your skin and I'll never sell mine no matter what other bikes I own.

Really enjoying these series's of vids your doing on the gsxr , gives a great insight . Back in the day riding with all your mates you just swapped bikes ...free test ride 😊 not so many of us riding anymore so watching your vids is almost like a bike swap if you get what i mean , keep it going love them ! Dan came across very well in this video, you could hear his passion for GSX-Rs and tuning them and although a lot of what he said was alien to me I still knew what he was talking about.

As a GSXR750 owner it's always interesting watching people dump 20k+ on fancier premium machines just to not fully utilize them. I ride mine day in and day out issue free. Has no TC or ABS which is exactly what I prefer and anybody that gets on one seems to love it, despite endless insults from the money bag kids on their BMWs and Ducatis. Yet we see them traded in or in for service all the time. In 4 years I've never seen a single GSXR in for work. Piles of Yamahas, BMWs, Kawis etc. Long live the "Grand Sport Xperimental Race" machine!

Modding bikes, making things better is why I enjoy bikes. If you are going to make further changes as suggested, I'm sure many would like to see. Good form for figuring out something was wrong too, making the right call as always. Legend, thanks for the videos.

What a great vlog, full of passion, ideas, inspiration and gsxr power! I have enjoyed all the episodes especially that i am an owner of a gixxer 750cc, as are most of my mates.The gsx-r series is special and your videos prove just that! Amazing, keep up the good work :)

Great to hear your true opinion about the difference between fast road bike and race bike. Comments like these set apart journalists from youtubers. I see you really made the best out of the Suzuki ive event. Fun fact, 13:13 the GSXR-750 on the right side behind the grey van, was the one that I mistakenly thought it was yours.🤣

Gav and Dan at MSG set up my L6 750. They are quite simply the best Suzuki track specialists out there in my opinion. Unfortunately I sold that bike but no doubt when I get another GSXR it will be going straight into their workshops.

Excellent video 👍🏻 The balancing rules are pretty tough on the 750, a std, but blue printed engine, restricted at the top-end , Vs tuned 600s !

Great content mate ..I recently got my L4 flash-tuned as it had a cat-delete with a yoshi pipe and a K&N.. The difference was night and day.

Always had a soft spot for the 750, has two of them, such a perfectly balanced bike. I only sold it after a trip to catalunya and being spanked, repeatedly, down the start finish by R1s 😂. Needless to say I was immediately 7 secs a lap quicker in the R1 at Donny, a massive step up in power/electronics but harder to ride than the trusty Gixxer. I spoke to the MSG guys at Suzuki Live and the cost of the control electronics for the Gixxer is staggering, honestly criminal. I don't think you'll see many in BSB for that reason.

I rode a Gsxs1000gt at a suzuki demo days a couple weeks ago, first time riding a bike with a quickshifter (no auto blip). Although cool, I preferred manually rev-matching downshifts on my 2004 Yamaha R6. 🤷‍♂️

I know you were mainly on slow laps , but what did you think of the auto-blip fly by wire set up? I have a 07 track bike that is done up and thinking of adding the IRC auto-blipper in the off season. Thanks for your reviews! DT

Here in america the gsxr750 is ran in motoamerica and it competes fairly well. They are trying to catch up to the ducatis and r1s lately tho.

Your explaination makes sense of what we were seeing. I though it all looked a bit squirrely, particularly out of the corners. I actually wondered whether you were 'testing' the bike. Something I do when riding something unfamiliar is try different inputs to see how it reacts, I'll try fast, slow, progressive inputs on steering, throttle and brakes to get a feel for the bike. Kind of looked like that's what you were doing, but obviously not. Damn shame.

@neevesy question for you recently bought an L1 gsxr1k. Great shape but compared to my 06 and 08 750s it is noticeably more buzzy and vibration prone. It does not have bar ends could that be the issue? Or liter bike more prone to this issue?

Hi Michael. In a number of your videos I've heard you mention that you don't like middle weights like an MT09 on track because the litre bikes come past too fast on the straight. How does the GSX750 hold up in this regard?

It doesn't take much to throw a bikes feeling off. I had head stem bearings replaced in my supermoto and they were just a bee's dick too tight and it felt like the front tyre was half flat, very unnerving. Great video Michael keep 'em coming!

You mentioned that you have "SBS Track Day" pads. Are they they "SBS 841RST"? I'm looking for some new pads for my own 750, that are mainly for the road but with the occasional track day as well.

Hey guys, looking to buy a gsxr 750 in the next 12 months. I’ve had a gsxr 600 k8 in the past and really like that shape. But is the 2011+ gsxr 750 a lot better than the 2008 gsxr 750? Any help appreciated. Thank you

I noticed they are running a 190 on the rear. Are they also running a wider wheel? Sure seems like it would slow the turning. Only squids do that around here, and for looks only.

Standard wheel, I think. The 190s they use are quite balloon-shaped, so the steering should still be nice and quick!

Odd as i always found my L0 to be a fat slug compared to the 06 R6 it replaced, it was 3 kilos lighter than the 1000 and felt like it had 50bhp missing. Not to annoy people but its by far the least capable bike i have ever owned.
