Ah! So Neewer = Mailada = Fulaim!!! I have a Fulaim X5 and love it. I prefer to have the TX inside my shirt with windmuff on. I often use the noise reduction and don't notice drop in voice quality but I'm no audiophile. I think the audio is better with the deadcat always on! I use it on my iphone12pm and CinemaP3. I've only tried the on board recording once and wasn't impressed. Using a wired lav with it (PurplePanda) I felt the audio was better with the PP plugged directly into the iPhone. My cons: user manual printing far too small to read haha. LED screen far too dim to read outside but after multiple trials I won't bother making adjustments after setting it up. Blessings

Some months on I've found a couple of things: The audio is best the closest you can get the Tx to your mouth A bit of extra base in post can improve the audio The tiny tags holding the windmuff can break. I'm going to have to get a different type to slip over the entire top DO NOT put your phone with the dongle & Rx attached in your pocket. It bent the dongle which had to be replaced. Otherwise I'm more impressed with it than I was to begin with!

Good video - Nice presentation - so many KZbin presenters talk at a thousand words a minute and you don't. You take a really measured and considered approach to what you are telling your audience. That made me subscribe and like. The content is really good too - 'in field' tests, bit of humour (peeing dog). I click off so many review videos because they talk too fast and skip over the things I ACTUALLY want to know. You don't - keep up the good work. BTW - just bought these on Amazon as a result of YOUR video, having watched about a dozen that didn't really tell me what I needed to know.

Well done, audio sync issue aside, excellent review. If I understand it correctly you can basically take just one mic with you, record your sound and add to it to your edit correct ? 4GB storage in each mic then ? That 4GB storage is not in the receiver right ? Or does it have its own 4GB as well ? It sounds well and the price is right. If that is the case I found my mic. One more irrelevant question, I'm going through a process of finding a new pair of glasses, I like yours, which ones would those be if you happen to know and are willing to share ? Thank you.
@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Thank you. 1 : Audio Sync.. I think I'm finally seeing this issue many of you have pointed out. I'm recording straight to OBS through a Rebel T6i DSLR via capture card. Could this be a settings issue? Bit rates? any suggestions welcome. 2: Some of the documentation implies that the RECEIVER can record as well... I haven't tested to confirm that yet. But I will. 3: YES, you could just grab the mic, take it with you and record stuff without anything else. 4: The glasses are Columbia , about 5-6 years old.. don't know if they're sold any more, a quick google indicates they might be the COLUBIA 3003 . They are a bit heavy though...I don't like them as much as my OAKLY's seen here---> kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2bdqJRorLN4fa8

@@GeneralBuckles It's only when you are in studio (green screen) that the audio is out of sync, should be an easy fix in the timeline of your video editing software, not sure what your workflow is so it is hard to tell what happened. Not familiar with OBS, but even if OBS recorded your audio out of sync (looks like latency issue), you should be able fix that in your editor. What do you edit in ? Thank you for the info, that explains a lot and I'm liking it. Yes those Oakleys look great too, seems like we like the same style of frames.

@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Sorry no, it always feeds through the receiver to whatever device you have it plugged in to, so your dslr will record the audio, but as an OPTION you can also record it locally on the mic… and then just pull it off later. The audio on the camera will be a single track of mixed audio from both mics, while the recording on the mic will just be that persons audio.

@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Quality difference in the final product? Probably but that greatly depends on the user and the use case. You can buy the most expensive, high-end gear and not know how to get the most out of it... so the final product is "meh".... you can also have a Pro use some Mid equipment and make a BANGER. If your end product is youtube videos like mine , there might not be a noticeable difference , especially if people are just watching on their laptops or phones... if the output devices can't do high-end gear justice , your money will have gone to waste.

Ok, Calvin...you've inspired me.... I'm INSENSED.. I've gone down the rabbit hole on FULAIM & NEEWER.... it's SO bazaar . I've heard people describe NEEWER as someone who just slaps their name on other products but you're right... it's bloody identical.... so I've reached out to both companies... we'll see if they respond.
@calvinmaii Жыл бұрын
Yeah.. I've been searching it seems there's also another one that sells in Asia called Mailada X5 which is the exact same too.

I think for me (pro) I’d prefer the new rode wireless bc of them being a microphone company instead of a “3rd party” me too vendor. Also ride’s 32 but recording seems like a win win. Even the go2 are more capabilities.
@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Well yes, though some people don’t want to spend that much $$$ on decent sound. But to each their own. What’s a “me too” vendor ? Haven’t heard this term in that context before.

Is It possibile to use It with Mac Mini M2?

Hmmm I would imagine yes….As long as it’s got a usb-C port.

How do you actually download your audio onto a laptop or I pad ?
@GeneralBuckles11 ай бұрын
You plug a USB-C cable into the mic, and the computer sees it like a thumb drive... all the audio files you've recorded are on there.

well, the CM22 's are more so a clone of the GO II's .. this one appears to have been white labeled and 2-3 companies are selling it.

Check the FULAIM X5 or keep checking Neewers site, they’ve been running out and then restocking pretty quick.

It seems to me that your sound and video are out of sync?
@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Yup, lots of folks pointed that out…needed to adjust my offset Sync in OBS a lot…. My more recent videos don’t that that issue.
@pjhunton Жыл бұрын
I think your audio is out of sync with the video, either that or my Mrs has roofied me
@GeneralBuckles Жыл бұрын
Hmmm…. I’d Sleep with one eye 👁️ open . 😂Can’t see anything super obvious… might be a frame off since my studio cam was 30fps and my phone was at 60… so the timeline was 60… that’s a thing yeah? 🤷🏻♂️
@TC_Conner Жыл бұрын
Yes, audio definitely out of sync. Good sounding though, and video footage is also very nice. I use the Comica Vimo C wireless mic. Your review was very thorough and an enjoyable watch minus the audio sync issue. 😎👍🏻👍🏻😎 (Looks like your audio was in perfect sync when you were outside for the sound testing segment and when you went back inside, however when you were back in the studio - out of sync again. 🤷🏼♂️) (through it all you’ve earned a new subscriber because I’m relatively new to this YiuTube stuff too. 😎)

@@TC_Conner I think I'm finally seeing this AUDIO issue many of you have pointed out. I'm recording straight to OBS through a Rebel T6i DSLR via capture card. Could this be a settings issue? Bit rates? any suggestions welcome.
