been playing ESO since launch, been on and off and have taken breaks here and there, not everyone who plays ESO is on discord, or on ESO's official discord. also for the silent majority of the players the only well known KZbinr for ESO is Deltia. so ya he was just another KZbinr who couldn't handle him being asked to stop streaming and felt insulted so cried and quit.

Don’t really care if a “personality” from the game quits. Yes he did some good works, yes he brought up and indeed showed some video that in my mind was a bit disturbing to say the least, but at the end of the day I never played with him at all. I play with a couple groups of gaming friends in two trial guilds, the other 3 guilds being trading guilds, and as long as I am having fun with them I will keep playing.

I do care about Nefas and I do hope he moves on and stays successful in whatever he does. That lady from the Relations dept. definitely should have had more respect for someone who did that much for the game. On the other hand, there are nasty people in any given big company. That does not mean the whole company is evil or their product deserves a boycott. So, as I completely understand Nefas (and would've probably acted the same if I were him), I will continue playing ESO. With that said, for ZoS changing that Gina lady for somebody else would be a good idea. I've seen her on some live streams and.. honestly, I don't believe she's really into gaming and really feels the community. I think this position is just not for her.

Australian player here. I quit for 2 yrs. I was hardcore PvP in cyrodill for about 4 yrs. Server performance is notoriously shit on NA server in cyrodill. All of a sudden after an update disconnects and bad lag became so insufferable I just had to call it. If I can't stay connected to the server how can I play the game ? Came back just casual pve and transitioned to some PvP in cyrodill and performance was still substandard but then it just started disconnecting me at the first fight immediately after logging in. So what is it with this game ? I have no problem with my internet connection. Every other game runs smoothly with 0 disconnecting. Guess I should "make sure I have everything plugged in and switched on" and that I am "connected to the internet" 😂😂😂😂😂and by the way I did "power cycle the router" probably about 9000 times 😂😂😂😂😂

It's definitely server proximity based If you're in the right proximity, everything works perfectly and everyone complaining just needs to fix their internet. If you're not in the right proximity, the game is an absolute horrid. Mess and the people in the proximity are gaslighting.You into thinking it's your problem😂

I guess since everyone's trauma dumping about their experience I will too For me I hopped on for almost every major expansion either a little bit late arthritis they started but I played everything what really bothered me was how ill-informed the community was on mechanics I came from console to PC I was 790 CP before the CP rework so I had to start fresh on PC the amount of times that people would deny me entry for simply not having a absurdly high CP was very disheartening especially sad when I'm teaching people with nearly 5 * the CP that I had how to do like random DLC dungeons those same people were running raid groups it was really really sad (for context the dungeon in elsewhere with the blood ball mechanic I forget the name that one in particular as a tank they tried to kick me but they couldn't because the healer refused to vote then we get to the first boss and they don't know how to do the mechanic and the healer is just of ripping them apart for it so I as the tank have to get aggro run up to the blood ball bash it towards the boss to destroy the immunity phase and I've basically done that for the whole dungeon because none of them know how to do it except for the healer to be fair though ESO has the most brainless DPSS of any MMO and I've only played this one unless you want to throw in marvel rivals But what really bothered me was the storyline for the new daedra God that just kind of just flopped can you put all this time money and marketing into it and you do nothing with it almost it was this massive letdown the other thing that really bothered me was the card game you would have been cooler if they just imported elder scrolls Legends into this game instead of this janky poorly balanced card game that let's be honest isn't that great and all the NPC bots are so absurdly strong that you're going to spend the whole day doing your dailies nothing is quick about it I have won more matches against players than I have against bots at novince level I really wanted to come back for the spell crafting system only for like a co-worker of mine who's a far more die-hard player than me told me that it was dog s*** and every other video I watched talking about it said that like it's nothing special and from what I saw it looks like it's just a way to get potion effects more often which is really disheartening you can't really build around them most of them aren't even good it's like with the artifact gear some of those stuff is really cool but the vast majority of it is so hyper-specific that I don't think there's a single situation where some of this gear can be used decently

Oh yeah and another issue I had is I played by myself almost no one I know have been able to stick to this game for any extended period of time and my schedule is kind of bad I'm online when most of America is offline and to make things worse console had voice chat constantly so I could always interact with people PC doesn't unless I miss something in the 2 years I played it on PC there is no like built-in proximity chat

Personally I have put many thousands of hours into ESO I play it because I enjoy it . Nefas is not just playing the game he's taken it a lot further by getting involved with the makers ,running a you tube channel about it and spending a lot of his time on it . Be it for financial Reward or not , I do not know, but that's beside the point. The thing is at the end of the day ,its just a game ,a hobby to many ,a way to pass the time or to entertain yourself .What ever your reasons for playing it ,at some point people move on . I have watched his video and understand his reasons .But as my grandad allways used to say . ''every choice you make in life has consequences so think about what your doing before you do it ''.I dont judge the gentalman . I have never met him . Think about all the eso content creators that have left over the past 5 years. Most of them were player versus player content creators. However, now we're starting to see even the player versus enemy community start to quit the game, including the content creators therein, which isn't a good sign. Considering it was always the questing and housing and player versus enemy community. That stood strongest by this game, even defending it against the slander, rightfully given by the player versus player community

I’m in a weird position .. ESO was my first ever mmo, the elder scrolls is my favourite video game series of all time. I’ve been playing eso since console launch I’m 3600cp have every achievement in the game barring 4 trial trifectas along with all item set collections all lore books *4 of them are glitched* I have 4 five star PvP toons so yeh I’ve pretty much done everything there is to do with eso and there needs to be more innovation 100% the game has got very stale the last few years due to the same cadence bringing the same predictable content year in year out and with matts letter a few weeks ago I believe the game is now slowing down which saddens me.. 😔

I agree with most of what nefas said and from irl experiences I relate to what his frustrations were. Problem is he chose to challenge the dev publicly after being asked not to stream and caused a scene about it then came to the community for sympathy. He also constantly made videos criticizing and shitting on the game. I unsubbed from his channel a while back because of the attitude he had. He’d even “react” or coach newer tanks and laugh at their expense but throws a hissy fit and says he was publicly humiliated by Gina when he chose to argue. He would even coach new players and make videos where he laughed at their expense and acted like a complete asshole. Basically he had an ego, thought he was bigger than ESO and it didn’t work out for him.

I did watch his "I quit" video to see why it's such a big topic now. Sounds like his chosen community did not hold him on the pedestal he felt he should be on and he wasn't allowed into the cool kids section of his stream team and is going out to find something else to stream. He's apparently been playing for 11 years and spent an absurd amount of money on the game. How long are you supposed to play one game, really? I don't think this says anything about the state of the game, but the state of Nefas. I feel for the guy for having a tough time with his relationships, but not really our business. With all the time and money he's spent of ESO, I would have just ditched the stream team and kept going. Unless he's just tired of the game itself and wants to play some thing new. Wish him the best. I think the person who posted in reddit was mistaking him for another player with a similar name that runs a lot of trials and is about the worst more rude player I met on the game. Nefas has always been nice and real, I've personally not seen any poor behavior from him and I was playing eso for the entire time he has been. I quit playing last year right before the pvp update because the game keeps making promises, getting hopes up for something cool and then its just a giant let down. That and almost everyone I knew in the game have moved on for the same reason except maybe 3 people. It is really depressing to just keep seeing the cycle of building into the end game, getting side swiped by something dumb and then having it all die around you.

tbh......no. He was helpfull at times with his videos, but overall he and some others are a good example why it is a sharp edge to balance on when u bind ppl in for special communications with the Developer Team. I rly miss ppl like Fengrush, King Richard, Lefty Lucy, Sypher and all the other cool guys. I like skinny cheekZ btw, really helpfull and nice guy. Nefas has a kinda toxic relationship with eso for some time. Sure it is frustrating when some things arent gonna change or your suggestions gettin downplayed by the devs, but he should have just moved on and done none of the "This mmo suxx now" and so on Vids, just seems like he is hurt and want some sort of payback. Thought he is better than that. Wish him still the best.

nefas grinded to 3600 CP and got bored then. maybe just not grind that CP but play it up, seems like its more joy, obviously for him aswell, since he stopped shortly after maxing his CP.

Leveling has been a satisfying part of MMOs ever since, and I really enjoy that ESO got that "much" of a "levelphase". Most games are even more boring in endgame, since you never get rewarded step by step, you get like few items with a week cooldown.
