This is the one that everybody went crazy for. This originated as a one-off comic for Negan’s backstory and the pandemic extension of Season 10 finally gave them the opportunity to adapt it. Hillarie really killed it as Lucille and the fact that she and JDM are married helped a lot because if they weren’t married, they wouldn’t have been able to have intimate romantic scenes or kissing due to pandemic filming restrictions.

Fun Facts for you if you didn’t notice. 1. Negan’s last name is revealed in this episode It’s hard to see unless you pause but the name on the letterbox of his house says Smith meaning his full name is Negan Smith A few years back Robert Kirkman was asked at a convention what Negan’s last name was and he said he never gave him one but when people kept asking he just said his name is Smith there you go. 2. One of the trophies/pieces of memorabilia in the scene with Negan trolling kids on Gears Of War in addition to also having Negan Smith written on it shows that the high school football team he coached was called the Saviours.

It's tragic that Negan lost his wife. But with his charisma and leadership skills, he had great potential to actually save people and make all of the surrounding areas a better place. Instead he became a ruthless dictator and led an army of the same kind of vicious thugs who caused him to lose Lucille in the first place. He definitely is one of the most complex and dyamic characters to be created.

i LOOOVE the fact that JDM's wife played Lucille. they're such a beautiful couple, and they of course have amazing chemistry. they work so well together on screen.. the first time i saw this episode it had me CRYYYING. tv show Here's Negan is quite different than comic Here's Negan, but i love the direction they went with Lucille for the show,, it really adds to the story, imo.

This episode honestly blew me away. To see Negan from season 7 coming from what happened. It really shows how different Rick is from him. Also, I'd relate his story almost to Morgan's since Morgan and Negan were ALONE when they had to deal with the death of their beloved. Sure Negan had no kids, but being alone versus when Rick lost Lori, he was surrounded by people who were there for him. When he lost Carl, he had Michonne by his side to help him through it. I definitely think being alone and dealing with something so heinous as the death of your loved one. Good luck with Season 11, it DOES have some good eps, but it also is my least favorite season of all.
