Mikey pipes i wish you were more optimistic on old units. I know you love new instals but cmon! You will never instal a new unit anymore that will last a customer as long as these old units last! I love to hear her purring like a kitten. My moms old r22 system is still going strong. Pulling Amps like its still a brand new unit. Just altogether a beast! It literally outlasted the entire r410 era! Lol thats hilarious. Wish we could all go back to r22

I have the same condenser, but two years older. Has operated well in Houston for 22 years. It has a lot more life to go.

System needs to be replaced, but customer doesn’t want it now so at the end of the day we technician will do want customer want even though it’s not the right decision they make. Nice video man as always. From VA technician

Gotta love them old unit. Rheem was the first ac I learned when I got into the industry in 2004 in Upstate New York. They definitely don’t make them like they used to anymore.

You got to admit them 22 units were like a timex watch, took a licking and kept on ticking!!!! But I got to tell you she damn sure polishes up clean like a new machine. An while were not energy efficient as todays units they still cool better than the new units

The problem is people change out their older systems too often because contractors recommend change outs because they make more money than repair an older system which is better than these new systems. As a home owner get two or three opinions before rushing into something that going to cost thousands of dollars to replace.

Yea I worked there 13 yrs ago replaced a few of those blowers they put in before I was there and the pans with the drives 1/2 pvc for it and the rubber 90s on trap they used when I was working there
