Black Boy Roundabout where I failed my first practical,Guess what.... Indeed, the only way is if many people contact the council about it. The local Instructor group, work with the Text Centre to highlight issues to the council, but public help would be useful.

Please make a video of oracle roundabout and Chatham place round about like merging A33 to A329 and exits.These are not in part of test but after pass my test I am finding difficult in these roundabout.I hope that will help others too. Thanks in advance.

Glad you found this video helpful. As for other roundabouts, there are many that different people would like to see done. I have a limited budget (both time & money). If you do these often, I suggest going there when it is quiet. Look at the lanes / the road signs and try to apply the advice given here in this video. If still having problems, ask a Driving Instructor to take you around those places to help you understand.

Hi I have a question; at 2:42 "As our current lane can go either left or continue on the roundabout we SHOULD indicate left as we exit" do we HAVE to by law? ANd if ont indicated is that a major mistake that would fail your driving test?

So there is no law (i.e Highway code doesn't say MUST) to signal, but,; a) it is helpful to others, b) will possibly prevent someone driving into your side!. As for the driving test, would depend on the situation at the time. In the same way, not indicating to move off or stop, would be serious if someone is nearby, but OK if no one there. So the most important thing is be aware of who is around (use mirrors). Hope that helps?

@@mrshusnain4471 Ran out of time & money! Also the process is the same as on other exits. I didn't set out to "teach" the BlackBoy, but to show how to deal with multi-lane roundabouts. This is a transferable skill to any roundabout in the UK. Worton Grange needs to be approached with the same idea, if concerned take a look at it work out where the lanes go, then drive around it.

Oh ok thank you. I have a question about this roundabout when driving towards Reading from Lower early. According to the video, you take the right hand lane but you bear to the middle lane so you leave the 3rd exit towards reading. My uncle is telling me that I should approach in the middle lane but indicate right, then stay in the middle lane to take the third exit towards reading. I'm not sure about this, will I be cutting through lanes by doing that?

@@alimkamara9055 on the video around 3.01 - 3.17 it shows the road signs. There are 3 lanes approaching the roundabout. only the right hand lane is labelled Reading. The middle one goes to Arborfield or Basingstoke. The right hand lane splits into 2 when on the roundabout, if you used the middle lane on approach (for Basingstoke) and went to the middle lane on the roundabout you would be cutting across lanes. Hope that helps.

QQ: minute 09:30...if there is another car insisting in continuing onto that middle lane and not letting you get into that lane and hits you, is he in the wrong ? You are on his right also and to top it of the moron says YOU need to learn to drive !

So yes he is wrong, if he moved from his lane into yours. The lanes are well marked, and if you're ahead of him he should be aware. But I've heard similar stories involving Driving Instructors on other roundabouts and insurance say 50/50%. However feel free to use this video as evidence on the correct procedures for using the roundabout to either your insurance or the police. Unfortunately we as drivers need to be aware of these type of drivers at all times.
