Good morning! I am going through this study months later, but God's Word always amazes me, and I appreciate how you bring it forth and teach us to read it first before you teach and then reread it after you teach. It really helps to see what God is saying to us when we read it not only once but three times in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! When listening to your teaching, I noticed quite a bit that I had not known before, but one main thing was confessing the sins of our families and realizing how connected we are to those generational curses that need to be broken. Because we have that connection, we must break those ties upon us. After re-reading, I noticed how Nehemiah had been in the Persian Empire and wanted to go back to a land of ruin to fix and rebuild the wall. That spoke to me because Nehemiah gave up his comfortable and wealthy position in Persia to return to the fractured homeland of his ancestors. I didn't want to give up the comfortable spaces in my life, but as I left a church that was pouring into me and had to go back home where God called me to go, I see growth now happening as I allow God to use me for His glory! Nehemiah prayed, persevered, and sacrificed to accomplish more for God's kingdom; we must do the same! Thank you so much, Ms. Rachel, for teaching and helping us go deeper into God's Word!

I just saw the study of Nehemiah day one and it is beautiful. I learned that I need to acknowledge God by letting Him know that he is the Holy and powerful God that I have accepted in my life and then to confess all my wrongs then to start my prayer...Thank you my Precious Heavenly Father God...IN your Son's Holy Mighty Name Amen 🙏🙏✝️🛐. I have a lot to learn but everyday is a learning day for me and I thank you for putting Rachel G Scott in my life...I am struggling with and in my path so thank you God for everything and everyone in my life. I have taught the Lords Prayer and just finished a new study on the Lords Prayer, Matthew 9-13. It amazed me that I didn’t ever see the correlation to the way Nehemiah prayed and the structure of the Lords Prayer until now. Thank you Lord for using this precious lady to bring your word alive today for me.

I just joined the Nehemiah Bible study this week. I spent time sitting with Nehemiah 1:1-3 today, reading and reading-reading, taking notes, and praying. It was so rich! 🙌🏾 One of my biggest takeaways was this question: “Who and what are you concerned and curious about?” Also, in prayer the Lord took me to Philippians 2:3-8, convicting me to acknowledge and confess my selfishness and embrace humility. I love that even before getting to Nehemiah’s prayer, the Lord showed me the same key points that Rachel shared in this video. Looking forward to the remaining days ahead! Thank you, Rachel!

After reading this, God has reveal to me that the more I spend time with Him and in His word, the more defenses I'll have (my wall) to stand against the enemy (satan). 🙏 He has also put in my heart to help "rebuild" or should I say help fix and organize things around this house (my aunties house). Someone's gotta do it lol and seeing how Nehemiah rebuild Jerusalem's wall really inspires me and motivates me to make this home a better place. ❤🙏

I love your Bible study teaching. My comment about Nehemiah 1 is that, I appreciate how in his confession he didn't just confess Nehemiah named the sins that they had committed. He was being transparent and we have to do the same.

For me, Nehemiah's posture when praying: he was not judgmental nor condescending, but included himself, "We have dealt very corruptly against thee and have not kept your commandments and stature." (vs.7) (Confession) When we pray/intercede on behalf of others; nation, group, person(s) it is so important for us to be humble and confess our sins as well.

Heyyyy 👋🏾 I’m here for the 14 day journey! First thing first, that Bible is cultured 😂 it holds sweat equity! No judgement. Seriously though, I loved when u expanded on the need for confession. That verse always stuck out to me because he was serving the king at the time, but I gained more understanding about the need for confession & specifically generational confession.
