I never needed a thermal drone, I have a German shepherd that will take me right to a deer, no looking. Friends will come and borrow her. As far as a drone invading my air space/privacy, the owner may never see their toy again...

Kentucky considering banning drones AND cellular trail cameras on public property. Some federal property already doesn't allow drones for any reason, other than law enforcement under special circumstances, or scientific wildlife research by state or federal agencies. Something to consider. Put yourself in a tree on public and have a drone fly by YOU, and see how much YOU like it. Even if they might be searching for a possibly downed deer where legal, they are also seeing YOU, seeing where YOU hunt, and seeing the deer in your area while YOU are hunting those deer. Is it possible to search for a deer carcass and ignore the scouting aspect of it? Even if the drone operator could care less, the customers that hunt that area are making notes, guarantee it. Another thought is, if you find a wounded big buck and it's not dead, what is to keep those customers from converging on that wounded deer the next day, especially during rifle season? This is NOT fair chase in my opinion. What if you are hunting on the neighboring property and that big buck they wounded has been showing up on your trail cam all season. They know exactly where that deer is for TOMORROW'S HUNT. The more I think about any of this, the less appealing it becomes.

You sound like the person who shot at it. Completely ignorant of any laws and safety concerns. A Cessna 150 could do the same work as a drone, are you going to shoot at that too?

You can't hunt at night, so let the thermal drone come in then.
@ROCKHNTR

@@jackshetta cessna 150 is not easily available for what the drones are capable of doing you can’t hover a cessna 150 at 400ft with thermal imaging….So you can’t compare these two. … I have had one instance where someone flew a drone over my property and hovered over it. At that point it could be considered by some as invasion of privacy and they can even go as far as saying it’s trespassing….would you like someone hovering a drone over your house and possible using it to scout you personal belongings or even worse looking at your wife or kids sitting out by the pool….if this is done at night and no ill intent I’m all for any means to recover a animal but I see this becoming an issue regardless of which side of the fence you are on…. And yes I have used drone recovery for a downed deer and was successful in finding it. I’m just stating the facts that people like to ignore and one of them being people will use this as a scouting measure and I know of one that had is drone seized by game and fish because they considered it aiding in a hunt the next day even though the deer was wounded the hunter went in the next day and killed it and the drone operator got charged as well

@@ROCKHNTRas much as I would believe you I absolutely think you are lying. Please link the media coverage of a deer being poached after a drone saw it the night before and then the hunter went in during legal shooting hours and killed it. I would be willing to pay you $50 if you can prove to me that you paid for a thermal drone to recover a deer. I think you are talking out of your ass.

Do you own land? How would you feel if someone is flying over your land. Not knowing exactly what it going on? Logically you would assume someone is changing out your property. Just saying .. it's two points of view on this topic.

Although I love your videos and support your work I will say we were harassed by a drone this hunting season and we did shoot it down and went and warned the owner if he Flys over our tree stand again while we're legally hunting our ground he will be visited again and he won't like it ps. He stopped over us then buzzed us and then lit us up with a spot light from the drone 22 mins before legal light ended

I made this same comment on their earlier videos. It’s mind boggling the amount of people that have no business hunting but still do. I always get the reply of “it happens to everyone” or “if you hunt long enough it will happen to you”. I’m 40 now and have been hunting for as long as I can remember, never made a bad shot or lost a deer. Those are just excuses for poor shooting and bad decisions. If you can’t make an ethical shot then don’t shoot. It’s really as simple as that.

Circumstances like this are going to be part of the territory with drones, it is an invasion of privacy and landowners have NO idea what the drone is being used for, especially could be used by high tech criminals scoping out residences.....we have no idea so the smucks here complaining about the drone being shot at need to quit assuming that everyone should know that it's an honest guy just operating a drone...that is not always the case so be prepared for major pushback and don't blame owners for being concerned! I think this is a cool technique but just because it's cool doesn't mean landowners know what's happening and aren't going to assume that it's all innocent in nature because you would have to be a naive fool to believe so. The only way to avoid this would to have a system in place that notifies the landowners in the area what is going on but that doesn't exist so don't be surprised when events like this happen, just understand that it's going to come with the territory.

I Here to tell ya, if a drone is flying over my property, it’s coming down. They all have cameras and that’s called invasion of privacy. Learn the laws before you brag about what you are doing.
@barryammerman6317
@barryammerman6317 9 ай бұрын
You should learn some. it’s not an invasion it’s public airspace. And shooting others property is illegal. According to Title 18 US Code 32, the destruction of an aircraft is considered a federal crime. The FAA and the NTSB consider all types of drones as aircraft, therefore protecting them under this law. This applies to all drones, whether they are used commercially or recreationally.
