Neighborhood EYESORE hasn't been cut for MONTHS - I made it the BEST LAWN ON THE BLOCK

I saw this home while driving down the street and it looked AWFUL! I went up to knock on the door to offer to clean it up for the homeowner. But, when I got to the porch, I saw a ton of mail stuffed in the mailbox. This usually isn't a good sign because it means nobody is living there. I knocked anyways with no answer and took a peek through the front window. The home was completely empty. So, I spoke with a neighbor and she said it's been vacant for a really long time and hasn't been mowed in months.

Brand-new viewer here :) Weirdly enough, one of my favorite things about both this channel and the power washing one is how Spencer doesn't have a "KZbinr script" that he says to each homeowner that he meets and explains his services to. Chances are, it is the home of someone who moved into a nursing home. The relatives may live out of state and don't want/or can't put it on the market until the person passes. That being said, it would be nice if they would pay someone to at least do the yardwork.

Wonderful work! Do you ever drive back through the neighborhoods you have mowed to see the domino effect on the neighborhood that you have made? I would think the neighbors in these areas would go out and mow their lawns too. I sure would be out there mowing my lawn. What an great impact you make! 👏 👏👏

The domino effect is real! After COVID, there were a lot of my neighbors affected in various ways: deaths, long term disabilities, job loss, having to work extra to pay medical bills and because of inflation… The neighborhood was getting scruffy, quickly.😢 Plus, we have an HOA which adds even more layers to the hardships. Last year I started mowing the two yards on either side. This year, people are paying for lawn maintenance for neighbors, edging their neighbors’ yards, walking down the street picking up trash, helping power wash and paint.

When I see that a property is occupied by someone who can no longer take care of it, I wonder why the ‘neighbors’ don’t take up a collection or work together to get the lawn cared for. It's amazing what a mow and trim can do for a property. Good job Spencer! I can't say it enough...when I was a kid neighbors looked out for their neighborhood! It's a shame no one would step up and just keep it mowed so the neighborhood looked nice all over. Like the guy next door couldn't at least do the 3 foot square at the end of his curb? Shame. Great work Spencer. I had never heard of "wild onions" in people's yard until I made the move from the north to the south. I was floored the first time I smelled them and couldn't figure out why. After all, there were no gardens around. My husband had to enlighten me and show me where the onion smell was coming from. Most of the time you find them in neglected yards that do not get cut as often as they should.
