@@Dan-di9jd ding ding ding, fraud should have been the first thought to the officers. More than likely this is a "knock off" satellite office. Basically these goods are shipped from China and then sorted at a "facility" like this one. See, legally it is no crime to have this kind of product so long as *you* are not selling it. Once it is delivered to the distribution center (typically old storage facilities in larger cities. Once they are here you then have 5-8 employees that will fence these goods all over the city. So crazy to see this as an open story on the news while affluent people complain about the boxes, completely unaware of it being an integral part of the chain... literally the distribution point from across the great pond, sitting in a suburban neighborhood.

@evil1by13 жыл бұрын
It could be fulfillment by Amazon damage/ return items. I used to work for a third party retailer and you can have damaged items returned. Amazon charges the sellers a disposal fee for damaged/ returned unsalable items. Amazon then packages those items up by the shipping container and sells it at auction. ( Off point but it always ticked me off on that they double/ triple dipped and the seller takes a power wash) the thing is the damage returns * can* still be of value but they need sorted and gone through. You wouldn't believe what boardgame parts, videogame manuals, case art, damaged pop figures and good condition boxes gora for. I could see that being the case here. Literally cheaper to pile the boxes up and let thieves take them all than to either have Amazon dispose of it or pay for a dumpster pickup.

I believe this scam is called "brushing." But it's usually or used to be a package delivered to any random customer who didn't order it. This is a scam for the seller to write fake reviews for higher product ratings, thereby manipulating buyers into buying a product that has otherwise low ratings or not marketable. The seller also swaps a pricey product for a cheap one. For example, last year around holiday season, we received a case of soda we didn't order. And that's how we learned about this scam. Looks like in this case, the seller sends to only one address. And the seller actually has a contract with the owners to use their property? It's illegal. It should be reported to Amazon, which is supposed to do something about it. This case is extreme, verging on "illegal dumping" or some sort of citation if it were another city.

Yeah let your neighbor ruin your proptery value, also known as costing you tens of thousands of dollars in property loss or more, because their house looks like a mess.. It must be great living off “free” checks from the government and leasing an apartment or lviing in your parents basement which you can just destroy without consequence. You never have to think about the difficult things in life. Life must be easy when you are so simple minded.

I'm sure some get stolen but there's such a crazy amount that it goes unnoticed. Also the fact that the neighbors packages gets delivered there is pretty awful for them. if they send them back to Amazon to sell then it's pretty bad that the product is just sitting there in the weather especially rain and possibly getting damaged anyway.

From what the reporter said, it sounds like the family said okay to a friend to send some packages there not knowing what it meant. More than likely the friend is a seller based in China but needs a return address in US in order to sell. Looks like those are returns.

This is the equivalent of not mowing your grass and letting it grow out like a foot. It looks messy and dirty and brings down the value of the house and those around it. Do you really want to move somewhere where the neighbors don’t take care of their yards? No, it’s messy and unappealing. Most importantly, as I mentioned, houses with dirty yards bring down the values of houses in that area, it’s real estate. You are devaluing your neighbors houses. Very disrespectful. Amazon should not be sending those packages to an individual house.
@miguelruiz33242 жыл бұрын

Exactly Never rains there? Put up huge spotlights on that house, anything obviously goes there. Put some cameras on them. Do the story yourself. Give it to some outlet that will take action. Sanitation? Bunch of yahoo representatives enjoying their neighborhood. Who stands around and let's this happen. Fill out a change of address form and send the boxes somewhere else.
