the true story (taken place long before the mane six was born) once there were 2 sisters who loved each other very much each taking place ruling Equestria day and night bring balance but one faithful night.....luna flies up to raise the moon....but a creature of another world filled with dark, hatred and anger caught and engulfed luna Celestia senses the danger she bursts up to the sky with her magic she tries to separate them both without hurting Luna but fails the creature enters luna and forms Nightmare Moon Celestia tumbles down only to be rescued by her parents the once king and queen of Equestria they flew off. they settle in a secluded area both the King and queen tried to bring a her back though magic it was a huge risk after a lengthy conversation they did what must be done Celestia and 6 other ponies, the original bearers of the Elements Harmony. they Nightmare Moon over the old castle and fought there celestia bursts up after making a hole from the creatures body but it was to strong her parents came she had no choice but to let go her mother entered the sun to create a distraction as the foul creature is distracted by the sun the father slips in to the dark and he found luna and surrounds luna by transforming himself to a magical barrier as the mother withered away in the burning sun the father break out from the creatures dark internal realm killing both the father and the creature allowing luna to live they had each other back.......in a costly price.....many years pasted resentment and hatered within luna grew to the point where she wores the helmet of nightmare moon and thus lead way to the beginning of My Little Pony Season 1 ep1

I was disappointed in season 4. Thought they would start tying up loose ends but instead its just a bunch of filler episodes. They even had one episode that could've wrapped up the story for Scootaloo perfectly but no. As usual another empty episode. -.-
