For me ClaireNeil's love story is way more beautiful than Meredith and Derek. Claire is such a wonderful woman, she deeply cares for everyone and she is in serious love with Neil. She knows but she won't admit. Neil on the other hand wants and desires only love above everything else. He loves Claire but won't indulge in anything that can jeopardize her career. They are meant to be together. Yes I too am devastated he died but I at least have my closure that they confessed their love before he died. In my head I have imagined the rest of the story where they continue to care for each other and Love till earth collides with the sun. ❤️❤️ Claire's eyes ❤️❤️❤️❤️and Neil's gaze ❤️❤️❤️

Else, the focus goes to Dr.Melendenz as he's the good doctor and a great human being. They want all their attention to Dr. Murphy. That's the only reason I could think of. Sadly after tonight I will no longer be watching The Good Doctor. I will continue watching The first three seasons with Melendez. But after tonight and the show runner deciding to kill of Nicholas's character that right there pissed me off to no end. I understand it's just a show and that it's not just based around Nicholas's character but Dr. Melendez was my favorite character on the show honestly and not to sound insensitive or mean here but I honestly could give a shit about Lea and Shaun's relationship I would've much of rathered seen Melendez and Claire standing there kissing not Lea and Shaun. And the fact they killed off Melendez furiates me to no end. I love Nicholas to death and have been a die hearted fan of his since Ressurration Blvd so I won't stop being a fan of his but will definitely stop watching The Good Doctor. And the whole reason I even heard or started watching The Good Doctor was because of Nicholas and the fact he's no longer gonna be on it or that were not going to enjoy seeing Melendez and Claire has a couple pisses me off. What was the whole point of putting Melendaire fans threw all of that if they never had any intentions on ever making them a fucking couple, I don't get it. They were better off just keeping their relationship platonic. I love Freddie Highmore to death as well and honestly I do love Shaun to and he was one of my favorites besides Melendez and I'm not trying to put his character down but I'm just so sick to death of the whole Lea and Shaun story line. And quite honestly not trying to sound mean or insensitive here again but I would've rathered them of killed Lea off than Melendez yes I know that sounds heartless but I would've not just because I love Nicholas but because when you think about it she didn't really add anything to the show other than showing up and constantly playing mind games with Shaun and hurting him so to kill her character off wouldn't of really been a huge loss in my opinion and half the time she wasn't in the show anyways so would it really of mattered if her character got killed off? Why go for a HUGE main character like Melendez that you know everyone loves to kill off? I don't get it! But to lose a huge character like Dr. Melendez in my opinion is gonna have a HUGE impact on the show and a LOT of fans are gonna be pissed off and I hope David Shore And Daniel Dae Kim and the writers are prepared that because of their bullshit decision they are gonna lose A LOT of fans.

The more I think about it the more PISSED I get. Claire’s mother told her that Claire would end up like her, trusting the wrong people and with no one to love, the writers were supposed to prove that wrong, weren’t they? Claire had a traumatic childhood and found everything she hoped for in Melandez and Melandez dies moments after they confess love? Melandez lost 2 women he thought would last a lifetime. Claire and Melandez both looked forward to having kids and a lovely family. Melandez said Claire made him a better person and a better surgeon. Both of them found what the other was looking for. And after pain and heartbreaks found comfort in each other. Claire finally found home, to be left alone to cry all over again? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! All this build up and foreshadowing for nothing!!!!! Melandez was the lead surgeon killing him off like that was disrespectful and not just unnecessary but also messed up the balance of the show. Melandez had command over the show. The professionalism, calm demeanour, charisma made him the best mentor. Again I ask what nonsense was this and who’s creative decision was this If they were so keen on killing Melandez, Claire and Melandez could die together fighting for their patients and die as heros or they could remove Melandez to a different hospital and give Shaun more screen time or they could kill someone else for suspense factor. This was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen- Claire just going through pain and loss and Melandez never lives to become a father like he dreamt off

If they had to kill a fan favourite for shock value at least wait for the proper time, tell his story, wait for him to fall in love again. Looking at his ghost hurt more than looking at him drained of blood, dying. This was the reaction that they wanted from the audience. Could have made more sense to just wait another season or two, let his story with Lim get a proper closure and his story with Claire to progress. At least Limlendez got to sail but Melendaire sinked even before it could sail.

Some fans keep getting the assumption that Melendez is returning next season when Nicholas has stated in several interviews that he's NOT returning and that doing the scenes with Richard, Christina, and especially Antonia was very emotional and VERY hard to keep doing over and over again because they became very good friends and also stated that he didn't make the decision but was told his character would be killed off. And also he said he was told two thirds of the way into the season three how it would play out for Melendez. And stated that he was sad to see a character he respected a lot go, someone he felt that still had a lot more to say but there wasn't always that opportunity, he felt they really built a beautiful world around that character, as much as can be in a show like ours where we're still a procedural as well. And stated that to him it's been nothing but a blessing and is planning to spend more time with his family and said that this has been an amazing whirlwind ride, and that he's sad to see him go and he thinks there will definitely going to be a void left there and he's excited to see what everyone does with it. And confirmed HIMSELF that it was a creative decision that just kind of came at a good time and there's a lot about this job that I loved and was honored to do, and a LOT of that came out of the family we created behind the scenes and Nicholas stated that there is also comes a time when you feel like it's time to move on and I feel like I'm leaving The Good Doctor at a good place. This interview doesn't sound like a guy that's returning to me sounds like he's saying goodbye. Not to add the creator himself has already confirmed that Melendez isn't returning and said that whether or not good doctor fans choose to accept Dr. Melendez will no longer be apart of the show is up for debate. But at least this gives us some kind of closure.

Everyone keeps stating they didn't see Melendez's body than they must've not been paying attention very well because they showed him laying there has Claire was walking out of his room. I mean yeah people are right about them not announcing his time of death like they usually do when someone dies and if by some miracle I'm wrong about him not dying and he does return next season I'll be extremely happy but according to several interviews Nicholas has already stated several times that he's NOT returning and by this article doesn't sound like he's returning to me. And the creator has already confirmed that he's NOT bringing back Melendez but like I said if by some miracle I'm wrong about him not coming back I will be one happy girl! But according to everything I read don't see that happening.

Clair and Melendez character felt like old school courting. When men would sincerely pursue a women he wanted without chasing sex and it was more meaningful on a emotional level. I really loved 2 character slow and steady wins the race. I am growing tired of character who just chase sex and don't really know what they are really looking for and walk around confused between love and lust. Pointless series. I have a gut feeling TGD will be talking The Grey Anatomy route and fill in with uter nonsense from affairs, love triangles, and meaningless sex.
