Ron is the most under-rated member of the whole "Daily Show" legacy. If Jon Stewart was English, he'd be John Oliver. If Jon Stewart were a Canadian Woman, he'd be Samantha Bee. South African? He's Trevor. If he were even MORE Jewish, he'd be Lewis Black... If he were Malaysian, he'd be Ronnie.

Immigrants are the smartest, most motivated people from the country they left. The average guy is still back there. We're getting their best and brightest. This is also why people from other countries are surprised at average Americans, the only Americans they saw back home were rich enough to have a vacation.
@albertopeixoto
@albertopeixoto 2 сағат бұрын
We should avoid broad generalizations. Someone can easily say that the immigrants are the ones that aren’t smart enough to get a proper job in their country. It’s not black and white, broad statements just fuel people who don’t care about the truth. The truth is that immigration is a net positive for the US.

What i gather from this exchange is that Neil loves to share his excitement for science, but he is feeling too exhausted of the trolls to actually speak freely here. I always said that we are who we are because we attract only adventurers and risk takers to our shores whether they flew in or swam in. We're an entire country of risk takers and their descendants who left the complacent behind in the home country to come here.

I'll share it because maybe someone will get a kick out of it... I'm a professional translator, mostly translating to and from English. One day, I got a physics PhD paper that was to be sent to the US for one thing or another. I nearly died laughing when I read it, and this was all surrounded by my native language, with just the name left in "English." - Nail The Grass Tyson was written there. It took me a while to stop laughing.

This is so fun to watch!!! Neil deGrasse Tyson in his natural habitat, making us laugh, think, and question everything we know about the universe. Only he can turn cosmic chaos into a casual conversation with a side of humor! 🌌😂

Correction, Elon Musk didn't do anything. Give credit to the people that actually do the work at SpaceX and NASA.
