Neil Jones Beach To Land Settings for Equinox 800 plus explanation

NEIL JONES BEACH TO LAND SETTINGS for MINELAB EQUINOX 800 !!!!
There's lots of you tubers put these settings in wrong on their videos, so loads of users are finding their equinox's are noisy on what should be a stable quiet setting.
They are also finding lots of iron because the tubers are missing out certain adjustments.
So this will put it right.
Before putting these settings in make sure you have the latest update in and do a factory reset. after updating.

Same as 800 but instead of 50 tones its AT (all tones) and there is no F2 its FE just put that at zero 😊

I’d just like to say that, even though I’ve had my Nox for three years, these are still the best settings (although I use 2 tones instead of 50 - I just can’t get on with 50 on any of the modes). I used your settings before the 2nd update came out and I always wondered what the F2 setting should be. Now I know. Thank you.

Thanks Lesley 👍 I know it can be hard but it is very advantageous to use multi tones, there are ways to improve your finds rate and they all combine together to do it. Multi tones is just one of them, turn your volume down so its not to much for you and annoying and slow your swing right down as it makes things less messy.

Hello again Neil, just want to say about this settings of yours, it's fantastic I have followed other KZbinrs settings without much confidence, but this settings blew my mind up' went back to my old hunting ground found 4 - 925 silver rings and, $13 spend able coins I thought that Park was all hunted out wow wow thank you again bro' take care out there and a happy hunting

great iron set up. that single increment of Tone Break is a great stabilizer-- I use it in the salt, it lets you run more gain if you want although 19 is a great way to hear your targets better--it offsets all the modulation. thanks for clarifying Neil-- there are a lot of half baked versions floating around.

Hi George, I use it as hot as it can go all the time but you need to learn the machine like the back of your hand and swing correctly too plus low headphone volume as its not for the faint hearted and takes a hell of a lot of getting used to 👍

Just a case of upping sensitivity, lower recovery etc and concentrate on you swing technique, try not to hover and scrape surface lightly. Where your coil cover out 😀

Hi Darren, its the same as 800 and 600, except 50 tones which wasn't 50 tones is now AT as in all tones, and iron bias is only FE now, there is no F2.

Yes of course, but as I say 50 is just a smoother rounded version of 5 so don't worry about the number 50.

Hello mate, First off what a video you have put together here mate I have just programmed my new 900 I have a few questions though. I don’t seem to be able to find the 50 tones option do you know why this is ? I have applied this setting to beach and saved it does it save all the setting in this way as in field 1 will now be set to this ? Thanks for your help mate

Hello, yes it will save ine beach 1 when you go to it. Just set it to all tones as it just doesn't say 50 anymore.

I’m new to the nox 800, how does this fair against field 2 ? I know a few who have never used anything but field 2 but I’m not clued up as to why this beach setting would be better

Sorry for late late reply, field 2 favours small finds in bad iron, its not as deep as the other modes if you want depth too. Beach 1 setting is a fab arounder, brill in heavy iron with brilliant separation, brill depth, very powerful with the bonus of being stable too 👍

Yes just use AT instead of 50 tones and iron bias fe on zero.

Yes of course, but instead of 50 tones its AT and theres no F2 its just FE. The best thing about the 900 is 3 extra incriments of sensitivity but most wont use tbem 👍

I noticed yours stayed on..and also i put mine in all metal before I saved but after turning it off and back on I had to hit all metal again..just wondering if that's normal thanks!

Neil, I entered all the settings with 5 tones set, today I entered 50 tones, now it’s not showing tone break adjustments or tone volume adjusts. When I revert back to 5 tones the tone breaks all reappear. Any thoughts?

Neil why do you suggest a setting in F2 of Zero when default setting is 6 that is a big difference

Default settings are just for people to get used to the machine. F2 at zero gives more tonal information and makes iron easier to recognise and more non ferrous signals stand out.
