Takes one to know one. Not everyone has the open-minded state of awareness that he has. To recognise and appreciate that, is a rare and blessed quality which will put you in a position of mockery and persecution. Enjoy it and remember to keep faith in what you know is right in your heart.

When we are misrepresented by others, when all is fragmenting around us that is when we take a stand, that is where we show who we are and what we are, regardless of whether we prevail or not, regardless of the outcome. That, in itself, will forever remain timeless.

My brother and I were in the same grade one year however in different schools. I was in a French school and he in English. We both argued who the good guys were in our Canadian history because he saw the English as the foe and I saw them as the enemy in the books we had. Grade five taught me that history was simply in the eye of the writer.

My favourite part about the coalition of several thousand "men from pelops land" who stood against the persians was the Thebans who were there. When the main force was disbanded and most went home, the spartans ordered the thebans to stay with them as their loyalty was questionable and there was concern they wouldn't come back to fight the persians. so among the spartans, arcadians, plateans et al. at thermopylae were the theban hostages forced to stay with the volunteers! Pretty sure it's all covered in thucydides for those who want more.

Neil you would fight to the last because that’s what you’re doing metaphorically now in this era. You are being as brave as any of the Spartans that stood their ground at the “Hot Gates” You stood your ground and fought when the vast majority didn’t and that’s what inspires people to do the same just as the 300 inspired the rest of Greece to throw out the invaders.

I just finished Herodotus- fantastic writer! The battle of Thermopylae was a very small portion of the book but was still exciting. The work of Herodotus like many other works of scholarship and literature from history, have many excellent snapshots of human nature, often showing men and women in extraordinary circumstances. We see the good choices, the bad. The hubris, the courage. What to emulate and what to avoid. It gives us ideals to aspire towards. Arete! Sophrosyne etc…

When people say goodbye today, they tend to say: "stay safe." But the world has too much of that attitude these days. Too much fear. Too much flight to safety. What the world needs more of is bravery, and love for freedom. So, when people wish me to stay safe, I reply with: "Stay Free. Be Brave."

Imagine being able to look back at ancient Egypt for example if film had been invented. I look at old film around Edwardian times for example and wonder at all the people walking and realise they are all dead.

As well as following your podcasts. There’s some great ones around of new discoveries. Turkey seems to be throwing a lot of new histories, although it’s being explored very quietly. But there have been very advanced building structures found 40/50 feet below the ground .The soil collected and analysed turns out to be sediment with sea deposits. And seems like the parting of seas believed to be a tsunami did actually happen. These things written on Sumerian tablets have now been deciphered and there are many stories but all with similar stories. But with the latest finds it seems that there were four gods that were sons of one initial god. They apparently mated with many women to start new hybrid peoples These were very advanced and traveled around the globe. But these brothers later had a fallout and decided to wipe out all populations .And flooded the world nearly wiping all life. This they now think was thousands of years earlier than any history.

As an historian you will understand that warfare has changed over the millennia. Leonidas would be at a loss in the Iraq war. You say that you don't want to ever fight in a war. The greatest way to fight a war is for you to not know that you are in one. How do you defend if you don't know you are being attacked? What is the point of any war? Either to defend or attack. To take control over your enemies lands or resources. Today, Neil, you are a soldier. You are at war and in a war. This is as different as the one described above. This war is not fought by battles. It's fought by minor skirmishes. Not with weapons but with words and law. If you don't agree, think how much has been conceded over the last fifty years. Britain has lost its homelands. Britain's have lost their freedoms. Britain's are second class citizens in the land that was defended by our forefathers. Forefathers who paid in blood to stop these things happening. We've lost all honour. We've even allowed the graveyards that contain the graves of those men and women who were prepared to give everything to be paved over to make way for a car park of a mosque. We continually give in to small battles. We've allowed an enemy to take control of us and our land. We continue to give in. We're not facing bullets. We're not facing artillery shells. We are facing words. Our enemies take aim and call us 'racist' 'Fascist' 'anti 'something'. We duck for cover every time these words are fired. It's time to put on some armour. As our forefathers did for us we must now do for our future generations. I don't have all the answers. I do know that I'm prepared to fight. Many reading this will feel the same. The big problem is , how do we do it? Every meeting will have spies and agent provocateurs. We should not have allowed it to get this far. If we don't make a stand it will only get worse. It was only 300 defending what they thought right and they turned the history of the world.

To rescue Australians who had been Captured and being taken back to the Enemies Lines . Eye witness accounts say, as they broke and charged iinto the Enemy . They could see the Australians all being Hit ! But even so they kept the charge fighting the Enemy to either Killing , capturing or others escaping the Australian onslaught . The Australians 'all' were seriously Hit . With the leader Captain Albert Jacka VC being hit Seven Times !...LEST WE FORGET

Perhaps not appropriate to the context of the video but folks do have a unrealistic romantic perception of Sparta and the Spartans. The male children were assigned to a soldier as a sort of apprentice who would be at the beck and call of the soldier in return say for the training/learning from being around the soldier. Unfortunately that often meant that the boy would, along with the rest of his chores have to accommodate the soldiers sexual demands.

Sorry but Neil lied and made an impossible statement 😅🎉🎉🎉🎉 "Clepoatra was closer to us than she is to Carnac 😅😅 then "The people who built Carnac were Egyptians" impossible! If they were half that far apart!!!! There is connection but the North West European people were not "Egyptian" they only had contact... It's like Anglo Saxon and Danes. Waves 👋🏻

I have their blood, but it`s mostly in my brain. Feel free to take a look. 😉 Every decent every human being understands the process of upbringing and education, and criticism as an opportunity for development. Just as every true Christian understands temptation and reflection. The Bible is not only about God and Jesus, it is also about us, human beings. But it is a Jesus that is a most healthy prism, window, the way and path. We can call it how ever. Toward the and in the direction of truth. And it`s entire life process, never let your Ego fool you how you are done already. Even the angels in the company of God, must always bear this in mind. For eternity. And we need to be honest and in truth, about our selves. It all looks to me like attempts by a number of different groups with different interests fighting for power. A democratic process that is corrupt in itself does not allow a fair fight, it must be dirty. Or God forbid, bloody. Fighting evil against evil, everyone becomes evil in the process. So it doesn't matter how many times the revolution happens and the "change" of the government, they are always actually corrupt. Like a dogs, chasing his own tail. But one thing all revolutions had right, at least for a while, to take not just power away but wealth from the ruling class also. You wanna make America great again??? Make the rich poor again !!! Take away that for which they sold their souls out. And watch the entire nation breathe again. Yes it`s not fair, towards them. But neither are they, towards the rest. People are not so jealous of the rich. How much it bothers them, when the rich start sucking their blood out. Race talk is superficial distraction. Whether it comes from those who claim it, or those who defend it. Magic is a story for small children, a consolation for the weak. As well as all our philosophizing. We live in a material world and wealth is power. That`s why they hate socialism and focus only on evil and bad from it. It`s the same all over the spectrum, same case is with different religions, between religion and science, or different social arrangements. Socialism was kidnapped by those on power, just as capitalism is. Just as Feudalism and Monarchy was. And so on. The only difference between socialism and capitalism is that power and wealth were concentrated in one place, while in capitalism there is a lot, for the public. But also only one in the shadows. As was the case with the monarchy, whose fall for the same reason lasted so long. And ended up so bloody. None of this needs to be said, we all already know it, at least we are that much educated. The west has not yet found that one point of revolution. Just as it has not suffered enough, for the frustration to grow, to the point that everyone discards their morality for the sake of survival. It is not as simple as i have described it here in a few sentences, of course. Society is a much more complex organism than that. The fear of capitalists is somewhat justified. Because in capitalism, progress depends on individuals who are capable. But it is a mistake to give power to a human being, who is not only very easily corrupted, but often incapable of having a correct moral compass in such a complex organism as human society. People are not able to manage themselves, but we are all forced, especially at the social level, even more so. We even failed that test in the greatest moral teacher period, religion times. When immorality starts at the very top, the rest have little choice. And it comes down to the choice, of whether to die or rebel. Either way, the evil top will shed blood. And it will not stop, until there is nothing left. Their first choice is poor and weak, but they will not stop there. When they no longer have anyone to suck blood from, they start sucking it from each other and themselves. Corruption cannot be productively healthy, their growth is always someone's destruction. Even though they are at the top and have no competition, true competition. The paranoia and fear of losing what they have, only grows with their wealth and power. That's why today's left behaves like that, it has nothing to do with ideological principles and beliefs, these are only superficial characteristics. Nothing different from the self-deception of the corrupt monarchs of the past. Who clothed themselves in the fleece of God's goodness and morality, hiding their own lost soul, both from others and from themselves. How many times have you seen someone in power become aware that they are incompetent? And who was the last one? Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev ??? It almost never happens. Unfortunately. What i find, perhaps most fascinating, about the American people. Is their blindness to the events around them in real, current time. Your foreign policy has not made a friends, out of anyone. All your quasi-allies are exploiting you, for their own ends. Although, i can't say you don't deserve it. Sorry. The best proof of that is Israel. Although there are countless others. Just as today`s feminism abuses victimhood for power, imagining that they are better able to lead society than men. Gender as illusory difference, to form just one more form of leech in the ocean. No matter how many times reality proved to us all, the opposite. Western Christianity? Don't make me laugh. That's not killing babies, that's stem cell science. It is not child trafficking, it is the right of homosexuals to have a family. That's not human trafficking, that's refreshing the slave/labour/expendable layer. West, changing jargon doesn't make you better than you ever were. I don't mean to be brutal, but i have to be honest. Women enslave themselves. Countless industries have developed on it. And everyone wears a cloak of freedom. It is not a men conspiracy theory against women. There is an innumerable number of jobs that women accept, because they do not want to work. Because they want, like many men, to live easily. No different than quasi-academia. The irony of their delusion is that they don't want to admit to themselves, that they actually only support modern slavery and the exploitation of human beings, out of that desire. No matter how persistently they try to justify themselves, by looking for someone or something else to blame. Like hook ers who tell themselves, girl has to pay the bills. It is no different from the past, during open slave ownership. When fathers and mothers gave their children to the harems and armies of empires, deceiving themselves and their children that they would live better. I don't blame the ordinary people, don`t get me wrong. Who under the pressure of the powerful, have to look for a false moral excuses. Because, they have no other choice. But i can't be silent about their own self-delusions. Because the time will inevitably come. When the powerful, who force them to make such sacrifices, are no longer satisfied with that either. We all have God given free will, slavery has a huge unspoken voluntary aspect. And women will have to look at themselves realistically and truthfully, sooner or latter. It's a true shame, that at the moment when we fought out for freedom, we enslave ourselves again. Under the selfish excuse that we are free. Not wanting, in our laziness, to see beyond our selfish urges. To address these growing fake jobs in our society, in our cowardice. Because as a whole we have failed to share among ourselves, in order to maintain human dignity. I have a low tolerance for those who take advantage of the mentally challenged, ignorant and naive. But experience has also taught me, that these groups and individuals themselves often side with those who exploit them. When you try to defend them. Do you remember how everyone made fun of Nikola Tesla tore up the royalty contract? Mocking how he fell in love with a dove? And so on. Even today, many mock him still. Not seeing their own irony, in today's pet trend. Mocked by those who for thousands of years have believed in Zeus, while Nikola Tesla played with it like a child plays with toys. They are completely blind to what Nikola has done for them. In their arrogance and pride, i wouldn't be surprised if they don't declare him a God and start worshiping him, in the future. Or the most famous/known case, in Jesus. That do not need any explanation. Any child that listened his story, in it`s childish naivety and purity understands it. There is no warning sign big enough that can warn a fool. Nevertheless they meet their fate. Do you remember when lords had to have an army, just to get out of their castles and walk? Now they are building walls around entire countries. Where do you think we are going, to freedom? It can be described in countless and countless ways. And we call ourselves intelligent. It`s a joke. We are ALL a joke. None of it has a value, as long as we tolerate and nurture the sick egomaniacal need within ourselves. God is righteous. Whether egomaniacs realize it or not, whether they like it or not. Understanding and feelings of Egomaniacs, are completely and absolutely irrelevant and not a requirement. They can raise their fist of rage at God, like a spoiled brats, as much as they like. All the best. Take care. God bless you.
