Funny how nobody ever tells old black blues singers to quit. Simply because when you grow up listening to these quality song writers and musical maestros, it is still hugely welcoming to share their stage time, if they still want to participate with their audience. When musicians age, telling them to go away is no different from telling an aged relative to go back to the home and stay quiet, because nobody wants them around any more. For myself, this is a very nice video. After Crosby passed recently and having grown up with CSNY, these surviving guys are welcome any time, on my screen. 👍😎🇳🇿🎸✨🥂

ich habe Sie verstanden und bin ganz ihrer Meinung, es ist ein Genuss die Musik noch älterer Musiker als man selbst ist noch Live hören zu können, vielleicht gelingt es uns auch noch Gehört zu werden.

Well said, it takes a lot of nerve for anyone to tell these two pioneers, these two legends to quit.

I LOVE seeing these guys up on stage, especially Young who is a Canadian like myself. But what PISSES me off (and this is the case with ALL established bands), is to see the 2000s' phenomenon of typically teenage-looking women with MANDATORY long hair and short BLACK dresses droning backup in the background (and whose MOTHERS weren't even alive in the song's heyday), as if SEX is the only appeal to the old performers now. If they MUST have backup, FAR better to have old dears the same age with glasses' chains to give the song a bit of patina - and to direct the audience's eye back to the performers themselves.

I got to see these two play together in 1970, in Chicago's Auditorium Theater, from the nosebleed section, on the CSNY tour that produced the Four Way Streets album. I loved 'em then, and I love 'em now, with tears of joy running down my face. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

2:41 proud Canadian alike; sometimes I forget how special artists of my time have been to my life. I take them for granted like family and love them the same way too because we listened as a family from the time of my birth so it feels like you have always been with me. As time presses on, I find myself ever more grateful for being on my journey with me.

Based on his two most recent studio albums, I'm not surprised that Neil's voice is thinner and unsteady. Fortunately, we'll get more outtakes and concert recordings from the Good Ol' Days. Neil and Stephen know that their heydays are over. In light of the revelation that David Crosby died from getting COVID-19 twice, is it worth the health risks in Neil or Stephen touring? Please let this one off performance be Neil and Stephen's onstage farewell.
@Stevedrums741 Жыл бұрын
Stephen has no desire to go on the road again as he has said many times. His hearing and general health - let alone age - makes him never want to sleep on another bus. These guys are approaching 80. All things considered, Neil's voice sounds pretty good. Not sure what people expect from these guys at this stage aside from nostalgia.

They haven't earnt their money from robbing people like bankers and politicians. They play music that people pay to have and see. So they have made a lot of people happy and made a lot of money from it. So what? Earning money is not a problem, it's how you earn you earn your money and also what you do with it. Neil obviously doesn't spend it on brands and luxuries, that should be applauded should it not? He supports many charities and even set up FarmAid to help farmers. He has credibility because he hasn't changed his views and has remained consistently on the side of people fighting for their justice and rights.
@jackcrane7853 Жыл бұрын
@@p8pillon dedicated swallower of media. You dont know these people. But a friend of mine is a neighbor of Santana and Young and for decades. Santana is always fun, is greeting and friendly, Neil Young never greets, is always grumpy.
