I used to see Neil and Pegi at the market. Not wanting to seem "star struck" I would say "Hi Neil Hi Pegi" and every time Neil would say to Pegi "do we know her?" Pegi would say the same thing to him, "I don't know" funny. They were always in the Linc Volt

That was so fun! Such a quirky spirit is Neil Young; and so chuffed about his car collection (!!) and his new daughter. He seems such a good bloke, as well as such talent and depth in his songs. Not to mention his eclectic wardrobe of 85 check shirts.💜

I was part of a barn restoration right next to Neil Youngs ranch in 2004. It is the most beautiful place in the entire world, I can't even describe it. Some days it's shrouded in fog and it's like you are in a dream. I will never ever forget the time I spent there; it pulls on your soul.

Saw him a couple months ago. One of the most pure concerts I've ever been to. No bright screens, no gimmicks. Neil said a couple things about how he likes the earth. It was all about the music and nothing else

One afternoon I was tooling around in that neck of the woods where his ranch was. Went past a restaurant that he frequented and saw an old car in the parking lot. Hardly any cars there. Was tempted to go in, but I was afraid I might go all fanboy, so I kept going. It’s a beautiful area to be sure. I can see why he didn’t want to leave when he was off the road.
@gotoalex1003 ай бұрын
That was a wise decision. Creative people can be upsetting if you catch them on the wrong day. If you want to see him you can always go to one of his concerts. That's sure where he wants to see you. Otherwise, let fate bring you together, but don't choose the place.

I worked for a concrete contractor in the 1980s. We did a job on the ranch in Pescadero, California, near half-moon Bay with a world famous artist and sculpture builder who said his name was Marro from Italy. He built some pyramid structures in the woods on Neil's property, which we did the stucco work for the artist. I'm disappointed that I can't find any photos of our work anywhere. We never got to meet Neil, nor did we ever see him check the job out. I always thought that was strange.

5:20 "Being young is the same no matter what year it is." True, that! And ironically, as so many people get older, they start complaining about the "young people", as if they weren't doing the equivalent of whatever the young people are doing now back when they themselves were young. Even Aristotle is on record complaining about the manners of the "young people" during his era!
