But the man that shattered my heart, who I was in love with we were just like in “The Notebook” movie- so it took me 5 years to build myself back up. But the reason I’m telling you this is because I know how bad your heart hurts….but listen to what you said: looking back it was a chore for him rather than wanting to slow dance holding you like you deserve. He will never ever change and do the things you need and DESERVE. You WILL get over him. Believe me…you will. I thought I had that as well, but after 30 years of marriage I found out that my husband was cheating with someone half our age with two little children. I will never understand how a person can betray their spouse like that. He left and cut off all communication with his sons as well. It has completely destroyed me and shattered our sons lives as well. He never contacts them and he has a new granddaughter that he has no interest in. I remember when there was a thing called Covid-19 that made us stay inside for almost 2 years. One day I got to go out and get something with my mom. We got there and then this came on the radio.
