Music drips from his fingers, his arms, his legs, his mouth. All in unison. All playing together. That's Neil Young for you. Natural and beautiful.

Been a fan of Neil's for almost 25 yrs. Natural Beauty sloowwllyy became one of my favorites off of Harvest Moon. Now, I'm proud too say, this is my favorite Neil Song. His music becomes more important the older I get. And if it makes you weep, it's doing it's job.

Only 25 years... In 1969 it was an absolute gas when CSNY played Woodstock LIVE. Wasn't he also in the Hollies perhaps with Steven Stills in 62, 63 when I got that new bike and bought a transistor radio with paper route money. GOLDEN this man is...

I love the way Neil can switch from being a grungy heavy guitarist in a band to being a troubadour like this, so so so talented.
@whatdoyouknow48435 жыл бұрын
Yes, I like that too. IN his acoustic performances like this, he has a pure and clear sound both singing and playing. Everything is quiet and I think everyone is captivated. HIs guitar playing so refreshing and yes very much in contrast to his grunge playing.

One of his greatest songs in a phenomenal catalog. I remember instantly liking it when I bought the CD when it first came out in '92, hard to believe that was 26 years ago. Chilling guitar and harmonica touches the soul. I can't think of any musician that can make you feel like you are part of the story being told like Neil Young can a great gift.

Due to the ability to make recordings, the music will always live forever, it's just that the successive generations will have to work to seek it out. Question is...will they?

"Kids these days" are listening to 70's music! They're lucky, they have 60 years worth of recordings they can access at any time for free. My teenage daughter listens to the same music I listened to in high school sometimes -- and she puts it on for me in the car.

Harvest Moon was such a treat in 90s. I discovered music from 60s & 70s like Neil & the Dead. This album was like an anthem for my friends & I as we all fell in love with camping & nature together. This song triggers beautiful feelings in my heart's memory. It get me emotional & longing for that beautiful period where my choices were becoming my own and i formed friendships lasting a lifetime! Such a quality album almost 30 yrs after his career started. Thx Uncle Neil!

Looks to me like this is from the '92 performance in Chicago. One of Neil's greatest ever solo performances, IMHO, right up there with the '71 Massey Hall concert. There's not many better things in the wide world than Neil Young by himself on a Martin. Thanks for posting.

On the roller coaster ride That my emotions have to take me on I heard a newborn baby cry Through the night. I heard a perfect echo die Into an anonymous wall of digital sound Somewhere deep inside Of my soul. A natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature Don't judge yourself too harsh, my love Or someday you might find your soul endangered A natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature. Amazon You had so much and now so much is gone What are you gonna do With your life? What a lucky man. To see the earth before it touched his hand What an angry fool To condemn. One more night to go One more sleep upon your burning banks A greedy man never knows What he's done. A natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature Don't start yourself too short, my love Or someday you might find your soul endangered A natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature. Went to the rodeo today I saw the cowgirls lined up on the fence A brand new Chevrolet A brand new pair of seamless pants. We watched the moment of defeat Played back over on the video screen Somewhere deep inside Of my soul. A natural beauty should be preserved like a monument to nature.

I remember once with my Cub Scout troop, we got to take a tour of the paper mill not far from here. Me and the folks in the '78 Olds Delta, we had this tape playing, and the song "War Of Man" was playing as we pulled up... this song was playing as we pulled out (cold out, had to let the car warm up)... still have the first issue tape, also... it's fairly worn.

I loved this song decades ago. Neil went on to express disdain for people on my side of the spectrum. Quit listening... This version combines compassion, wisdom, and musicality beyond description. That my respect for Neil after this soared to the the highest heights is particularly poignant for the fact that he sincerely doesn’t give a damn about my opinion. His immeasurable talent and self-determination render him a giant amongst men to me.

truely a lucky man is somebody like that. to see the innocents of a place. but as we evolve as mankind, we can be caretakers and enhance the planet with our vibrations. for that greed needs to make place for understanding through sharing...something that some forces try to supress with their cheap ideas of divide and rule... but no action is in vain...stay close by your people...dont get trapped...listen to each other... thx acupofvideos for your idea
