Man, I’ve always loved Smith and Neil Young. This performance ❤ And Bowie!!!!
@davidderieux336 Жыл бұрын
Patti Smith adds depth to an already profoundly deep song and melody. What a cast with Bowie and his band members too. Over the years this song has helped me process through tragedy and has stirred my spirit taking me back to a place in my mind where all of my changes were a stretch of rugged California Coast line where cliffs and caves met the surf a place where I tested my self against the large waves with wreckless abandon often times by myself. Feeling that if I didn't make it everything would be o.k. and this would be a good place to transition into the to next life,doing what I loved doing. This is where I became truly free. Where I really started living again a place where I stopped taking things for granted and began enjoying the moment knowing this may be all I have and that tomorrow is not promised to anyone......how liberating. Crazy how a song or even a melody can evoke such memories. God bless you and your loved ones Mr. Young

I have always loved Helpless Helpless Helpless, finding this video really touched my heart ❤️ I cried all day when Bowie died. I feel this song so strongly, my mother passed on 3-19-24, I didn’t know it would hurt more than anything. My dad is dying, in hospice, he is deaf with dementia, so sad because he loved music, I am praying for my dad, and my 5 siblings ❤I’m forgetful right now, I adored Patty Smith, on Helpless!!! She rocks

When our parents depart, we step into a new place in the world. It can seem heavy at first but not like a burden. More of a responsibility. We step up and all the things they taught us will continue to speak to us for the rest of our lives. As if they are never really gone. May you find strength and peace when these losses become the fully realized changes in you.
@johnsudar55677 ай бұрын
I hope you find strength and comfort. I lost my parents recently as well. My dad, the glue of the family as it turned out, unexpectedly; my mom suffered from Alzheimers - which, in her case, was okay: she had so many bad, bad memories to contend with before, and, with God's grace, they were no longer a burden. It was, of course, as you know, hard on uss. I send prayers and good thoughts to you. I feel you know how to find solace in music, as bittersweet as it so often is, so, carry on.

This is the most beautiful and descriptive song that Neil has ever written and sung. His past beginning and so heartfully sung. I was there in my time when he sung it first. Go Neil, and hope you continue to remember your beginnings. Blessing to you.

Lol, he kicked bobby D's harmo, but in my 50 yr fanship, Neil augmented his charm w harmonica via rustic quaintness, not with progenic virtuosity! In another vein, Hot Tuna electric was fantastic, however I appreciate Tuna accoustic out of reverence. Best of enjoyment to you bro.
