For most artist , to put out one song like this might be considered a lifetime achievement , Neil has a wagon load of these , and sometimes it takes a Horse to pull that wagon .

You can talk about Dylan and Springsteen and McCartney and Elton John all you want but Neil Young is the best musician today and has been for the last 50 plus years He keeps reinventing himself and goes from acoustic to electric like no one else This version of 'Eldorado' is much better than the version on the 'Eldorado' ep or 'Freedom' album

Don't forget Ralph "Poncho" Sampedro's rhythm guitar. It provides the perfect framework for Neil's powerful playing. Crazy Horse's Talbot and Molina locks in the beat and the Horse takes off. Gives me the shivers.

This was a time when Neil Young was getting into using effects to get the raw edges of notes that his remarkable sense of melody is looking for. Even as I write this observation, it's about 4:00 or so, and he's illustrating what I was trying to convey. This is what Wittgenstein was (jokingly, at least partially to me) referring when he wrote, "What cannot be expressed in words must be passed over." Thanks for the wings, Neil.

What a great tune ...Played accoustic on mini album Eldorado thats the songs official name it came out around 1989 after he toured with his band at the time called The Restless. The mini album 5 tracks was only released in Australia origionally because allegedly Neil Youngs record company did not like his really heavy sound he started to experiment with and the album he gave them called Times Square.which had all the Eldorado tunes plus others on it .They were mistaken though

Road Of Plenty should have made it on the "Life" Album in 1987 but did not. The tune emerged then on 'Freedom' in 1989 as Eldorado with differing words. On Road of Plenty the 5th & 6th verses became the 2nd & 4th verses in Eldorado. I prefer the more dramatic musical in Eldorado however both are great songs. Thanks BrokenArrow24 for uploading these rare tunes.

This one is good, but having previously seen & heard neil's original and ever-evolving rough version of this song done during the 2-day reunion with fellow Buffalo Springfield members, I have to say there was more depth, a fuller sound, more heart and warm energy in it while working on this song with Stills and the others .. Neil clearly knew they had a magical vibe together with this one and intended to do it with the Springfield .. But shortly thereafter Crosby visited Stills and the 1986 Springfield reunion was no more
