Glad you liked "She's Always Dancing". Such a cool song, I think. More than the lyrics or any one part of it...I like the overall sound and "feel" of this tune...and I thought the harmonies were especially good for Neil Young and "Crazy Horse". They're doing really well with this album....SOOOoooo good to hear that good rock by the masters can STILL garner the attention it's due! :-)

I really love this song and this video! not only both are hypnotic, but also it talks to me much: Women in boxes at the beginning, like merchandise (and nothing changes that much, look at TV advertising) and so wild and free at the end... having the power on everyone who looks at her. Great ! That speaks to me about the emancipation of the women, an allusion of the 60's, the differences between before and after the hippies, and the picture shows those two kinds of women, the first ones trying to sell themselves as handmaids of their man, and the last one with colored scarfs, necklaces and bracelets, crazy hair and wild and proud look. And no man around ( but at her feet ?) I wish I knew who did that, was it Neil himself ? Neil once said about this album that he never needed psychedelic pills, his music is enough to do the job. His music does the same on me too!

Neil Young has always had two musical sides, acoustic/country Neil and rocker Neil. One would expect as he gets older that the acoustic/country side would dominate. However IMO tracks like this show that rocker Neil together with CH provide the best results.

Got introduced to Neil Young and Crazy Horse when I got the "Everybody knows this is nowhere" record, became instantly one of my favorites. Was so disappointed that all their other records didn't carry that kind of vibe until these brilliants brought out this record. Am so in love with this song. The solo brings you in a completely different place. Thank you Neil Young and Crazy Horse!!

I heard there was a PBS show lately...I didn't catch it. Not sure Neil would like that name mentioned here...and I'm not hip to the all the details. I'm pretty sure Neil is Neil...always and everywhere. He's the kind of guy to do his own thing and follow his heart and mind...and it's always worked for him: he's STILL rocking! This album has a lot of different sounds for Neil...and I'm glad it's doing well for them...worldwide. Neil's ALWAYS been opposed to "THE MAN'' pulling all the strings!!

For what it's worth (no pun intended!), Neil says in "Waging Heavy Peace" that the suit was brought by the then-president of Geffen Records (whom he doesn't name) rather than Geffen himself. He holds no animosity toward David Geffen and still considers him a good friend.

I just watched documentary on David Geffen the record producer. He signed Neil Young and sued him, Young for not making albums that were true to his supposed typical Neil Young songs. This was one of the albums I believe he made during that time with Geffen. Geffen felt it wasn't commercial enough and didn't sound like Neil Young.
