having a overdrive pedal after the pre-amp unit can really sweeten up the tone by focussing the mids just enough to have tt nice harmonic overtones and great clarity. great tip from neil zaza !!

Xotic products are A1! I have the SP. SL, and EP !! I use a EQ in the FX loop, but I will try this with a TC Electronics Flashback4

I own a BlackStar amp and play a Fender Strat. When I run the EP Booster if front of the amp I get distortion with very little volume boost. The Blackstar has the gain I need already and doesnt need to be modified. When I run the Booster in the effects loops I get a transparent sound and the volume levels extremely high. I rarely turn the knob past 9 o'clock. For some reason the BlackStar brand sounds a bit restrained in its natural state. But, the EP Booster opens it up and sounds terrific!

yeah works best in the FX loop ! Using the TC Spark Booster Mini and it's great The EP booster is supposed to colour your tone too not just add volume

EP Booster is "The Pedal" ;-) I use it after the OD pedal and it sounds FAT and full low end!
