My Dad died on May 29, 2016. The dementia took its time in stealing him away from us. I knew that November 26 (his birthday) Thanksgiving, December 8 (my birthday) and Christmas were going to be hard that year. We always had Christmases where family was the most important thing. When I saw Neil sing "Christmas Prayers" on the Today Show that December, it was like he wrote it for me. I cried so hard. Neil knew exactly what I needed to hear and gave me tremendous comfort for my first Christmas without Dad. 🎻🙏🙏🙏
