Even after watching hundreds of anime, the Gaara vs Lee battle from Chunin Arc is still the best battle in anime I've seen. The music. The smooth animation. And no Unnecessary dialogue pauses. Totally caught me by surprise when I first watched it.

Pretty much this! The only reason Naruto got out of it was because the nine tails unlocked his chakra points which was from a different chakra source all together. Naruto was completely drained up until that point. Unless you're someone like Kidomaru who has some type of armor in your skin to keep your chakra points from being hit from the start, anybody in the Narutoverse would be screwed if they got hit with the 64 palms on direct contact. There was a reason they said the Hyuuga's had the best taijutsu in the hidden leaf

So my only issue with this fight is that I feel like once neji uses the 64palms, that’s pretty much the end of rock lee. His chakra points are closed so he shouldn’t be able to go into 8 gates. Not only that but like 8 gates isn’t a 2nd chakra like the 9tails. I do believe that if lee was able to land a hard enough hit on neji that he would be done, Naruto was able to beat neji with 1 singular punch, so lee should be able to put neji down if he can get in a hit. But 64palms is just Gg imo.

8 Trigrams: 128 palms was a jutsu Neji learned to counter the 5th gate. It may not allow Neji to move as fast as Lee, but his vision and reflexes increase within the 8 trigrams range. Going from 64 to 128 doubles his reaction time. He can already see behind him so that makes it easy to dodge without even turning his back + having the kekkei genkai + byakugan through Neji’s eyes, Lee’s movements would appear in slower motion.

This is a misconception. Lee still has Chakra, but no pours in his hand in order to mold it. Aka Kentetsu. He's made to be the opposite of Neji, as a Hyuga he has Kentetsu all over his body many many many more than your normal ninja. Polar opposites. Lee has fully functioning Chakra. And he uses it to amp his physical stats. The reason the Nine Tails Chakra worked with Naruto isn't because his Chakra just changed. The nine tails Chakra BLEW them back open by force. If you've read the Manga. Ontop of this, the gates. The gates. 2nd gate. Gate of life. Quite literally recovers almost all exhaustion or fatigue, and heals the body upon opening initially. So ontop of healing himself via this, he also has the raw forced opening of the gates. This is actually all plausible. Hopefully maybe this made it make sense

el ultimo ataque de neji habria impedido que lee habriera sus puertas por lo que habria perdido... pero eso es segun el video.. ya que lee conocia mejor las habilidades de neji de lo que se piensa.. mientras que neji no sabia de las puertas. lo mas probable es que lee hubiese ido normal tranqui contra neji al inicio, pero evitando que lo toque. con quitarse las pesas lee ya era muchisimo mas rapido que neji asi que dificil que algun ataque le hubiese caido y con las puertas internas practicamente lo dejaba medio muerto. No veo algun final en que neji gane.
