I was JUST watching this thinking "I'm gonna show BG!" Little did I know... lol

Saw them live a few times. First time they were waiting outside of a Band-Maid concert I went to and were asking people to come see their show. They also played a Band-Maid song so they must be inspired by them. Last show I went they also played a song from Green Day and a song from another Japanese girl band Scandal. They're great live!

After watching a band Sixiwanzi, Nek! showed up. just had to click on them. That was just over a month ago. I did hear from another reactor channel, Nek! formed in Jan... yes 2024, first drop was in April. That is how new these gorgeous, VERY talented young ladies are.

Great reaction. From what I've heard, I think they are pronounced "NE-KI". Nekky! The exclamation point is actually spoken as an "I"! Anyway, this is my favorite of their offerings so far. Pretty glorious. And rather BAND-MAID. Almost as if Miku had the lead vocals, and F Chopper Koga swapped out for MISA. The Natsu lead guitar has the scream and wawa of early Kanami.

I'd love to see what that bass player can do with misa's 5 string black cloud

Yes, Nek! is absolutely AWESOME! Band-Maid 2.0!! Fun fact: The bassist was in the finals to be in Lovebites, but missed out to Fami.

Likely in part due to Kanade still being in high school, at the time, if I understand it right! Anyway, she's very, very advanced for her age. And her slap-bass works perfectly with NEK!'s sound. I want them to really make it. I'm enjoying Natsu' lead guitar, too.

Thanks for reacting to them. By the way, it pronounces "neki" instead of "nek".

That’s their outfit during professional public showings. Oh, and I believe they’re Neki. The exclamation point is a Stylized i.

Love it. They are all talented but that bass player just steals the show for me. She is up there with Fami and F Chopper Koga and Wakamon.

I believe they on the same label as BAND-MAID ans has done at least one BAND-MAID cover live. There is a short of the cover on their KZbin page. Edit: I checked both the US and Japan site of PONY CANYON and they are not listed, so I really don't know which label there are with.

I keep hearing the comparisons to Band-Maid but as I've said elsewhere, someone just turned to Band-Maid and said, "Here, hold my beer".

NEK! is pronounced NEKI. Yeah, they are very promising.

Dunno i've tried Band-Maid many times, but couldn't force myself to like them ( i'm not saying that they r bad, it's just not my cup of tea, i liked their song named Dice though), while this girls caught me almost instantly 🔥🔥🔥

I love BAND-MAID, my favorites in the world. But, I think you needed some of the funky element that NEK!'s got. (I presume you've given Gacharic Spin some attention, too.) Anyway, NEK! are off to a fast start.

@@kla4600 I liked BM Dice very much! If they have similar songs in overall sounding I would appreciate if u could introduce me some. I favor melodic choruses like in the Dice

also you're pronouncing the band name wrong. The ! at the end is a lower case i turned upside down. The band name is pronounced "Neh-kee".
