The Sevilla blouse is probably pronounced sev-ee-ya like the city in Spain. It's actually my maiden name too so I definitely have to knit one!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I´m so surprised how expensive the Cardiff cashmere and the silk 8 is in the US, it's nearly double to the EU. So if you have somebody traveling to Europe let them shop for you here.

I love all of those patterns! I am currently knitting the cumulus o neck tee I started knitting it with a single strand of tynn line but just wasn’t loving the fabric it was creating so I remembered I had some lace weight silk/alpaca/cashmere in the same color so I decided to hold it together with the line and I love it now! My gauge didn’t change much at all when I added the lace weight but it just filled in the stitches so nicely and the drape is amazing I’m hoping to wear it to work when we go back to school in the fall so I wanted something with a bit more coverage Can’t wait to see what you make next!

If the Maggie sweater is like the poppy tee, road to china light worked well for me. It’s very luxurious.

Not surprising we (collectively) don’t know how to pronounce “lineceae” , since so few people speak Latin these days! Best 2 choices would probably be “lih-NAY-see-eye” or “lih-NAY-see-ay”, choosing either long i or long a for the “ae” ending. It won’t actually matter unless you encounter a botanist…😅. Thanks for sharing your thought process on matching yarns to patterns!

I just knit the cumulus o-neck and it was soooo much faster than the v-neck because you join in the round so much faster! Highly recommend. Also the blueberry ice cream kfo is 😍😍 but sold out when I placed my recent order so I went with Japanese anemone which is honestly just as pretty, strawberry fields is also gorgeous though

Beautiful patterns! I’ve actually started the wrap, also in a dark, moody navy. I think that can look so elegant in summer with white or tan, but go equally well with jeans in the autumn.

I'm knitting silk merino socks. I already made one pair and... it is so great to wear! Not the strongest of yarns so will not be boring :) Probably silk merino could be also very good for tops which one can wear as the only top in summer and the first layer in winter. I'm planning to knit a big black sweater soon. It is very dark where I live in winter so it is easier to make dark items in summer.

You might like Helle sweater by Blomstrikk/Hip knit shop too, since it is somewhat similar to the KFO one with the triangle shaped lace pattern 😊 I would also really like to combine Isager trio with some other yarn, maybe KFO silk or Holst Garn Coast. But a worsted weight summer garment sounds a bit thick. I think cashmere is not a summer fiber 😁 I have undedstood that it pills a lot since it is so soft, there is a special wool comb for taking care of your cashmere garments. I think Maggie cardigan would work in a merinosilk blend yarn too, maybe even in Onion Nettle+wool which is a bit shiny but woolly.

I have more projects than usual on my needles this summer, as a kind of treat! The annual Ankers summer blouse, a chunky test knit (in a mens L 😰) and the Maj sweater which I’ve wanted to knit for ages! Knitting the Maj sweater in Rauma Fivel, which I’ve also wanted to try forever, and it’s so soft for a norwegian wool! Kinda skipped the traditional summer knitting this year, as I wanted to have som pieces ready for fall.

I snagged one of the mini mock neck tank kits from Sewrella. That 50/50 merino/silk base caught my eye! I knit a mini mock neck tank last year using a 65% SW Merino 15% Yak 20% Silk base and I wear it all the time. Its great year round! Excited to have a second one in my wardrobe!

I ordered the same Sewrella yarn for the StarCrossed knits Ophelia blouse and I’m glad I saw this video because the actual color here looks way more hot bubblegum pink than what their pictures portrayed online and it would be more disappointing having anticipated it longer…

Loved the video, thank you! Cardiff cashmere is a bit thicker than Lang, and I think they even have different metrage. I also heard that Lang is a bit less soft and behaves weird (uneven) in certain colors, so if you go for cashmere, my opinion is that cardiff is better

I really like the Pregueado t-shirt pattern by Debi Maige/Expression Fiber Arts. (The pattern is free for a short time now.) I'm wondering if I could do a long-sleeved version, as I don't get much use out of summer clothes here in The Netherlands. Expression Fiber Arts has a lot of patterns for other nice summer tops. I also really like the look of the Afternoon in Lisbon top by Lisa Hannes.

I recommend Cardiff cashmere, don't buy it from a shop in the US, order it from a shop in Europe. The cost of Cardiff is half at the European shops compared to the US prices. Even with shipping you save a lot of money.

Another awesome video! Love your insights. I am definitely also interested in the new petite knit sweater and those yarns ! What are your thoughts on the Rococo top by Sari Nordlund? It looks like it's a rather wide raglan? I'd love to hear your take on the construction and lace. I'm currently making a cozy classic light with tynn line❤

My daughter (19) requested that I knit her the Mini Mock Neck Tank. As a long time knitter who has never successfully knit any sweaters, tops, or wearable clothing. I'm a little nervous. I did several guage swatches and even did a swatch in the round. I started the pattern, but have already hit a snag. Hopefully someone in my knitting group can help me out.

Knitting is like music, instrument playing, requires long constant practice. I would advise for a beginner to use hairy or boucle yarn. Several years ago I made a boucle cotton silk top of the simplest design, two rectangles, using the cheapest needles I don't use any more. I still wear it very happily.
