Old magic player, just catching up on tech of decks and magic. I have played with Nekusar since his first release. Awesome deck, lots of fun, well for me anyways not so much opponents. Sadly I do not have the outsitanding early magic cards, but still very fun. Thank you for your awesome video, I will definitely make some adjustments to mine :)

I have rise of the dark realms in my zombie deck and in tight long games it feels so good to play this card after a board wipe 😁. I am building Nekusar right now thanks for the ideas of cards

Day's Undoing doesn't work with Nekusar - your ending the turn afterwards, so all the nekusar triggers will fizzle...

Two absolute must-haves for Nekusar: Locust god Curse of obsession Besides that, your deck is nearly identical to mine

@@krunchyapples I just looked it up, cool card! There’s roughly a 20% chance it’ll trigger on average, per draw, so about 1.5x per wheel, but also three times as much damage hmm 🤔

@@MTGAlpha it'll weigh more in your favor if you're not going very creature heavy, but if your opponents don't want to pay the life then you'll also immediately get those discard payoffs like from Tergrid or sangromancer.

One more card I'd also recommend is library of leng to protect yourself from discarding cards you still want whenever you wheel

I dig the list! What do you think about howling mine or font of mythos or locust god in the mix?

I did have Howling Mine and Locust God in there for a while, but they got squeezed out for alternative options. I totally overlooked Font of Mythos. Easy include!

Nice Deck! What would you recommend for lands if the whole thing should be a little cheaper?

The cycling lands are definitely nice in this deck. You can run the slow fetches instead of the actual fetch lands

My original list was janky and destined to fail considering what Nekusar represents at the table so looking at your list vs my goals it was clear to see cuts swaps and alternatives and still keep it original (for the most part) I absolutely had to borrow your pet card I doubt I'll ever get it off but if I do XD pure gold

@@XNamelessXNill I'm glad this deck list worked for you!! Its so much fun to play. Started off as an Izzet deck that kind of got boring after a while. Now I gotta be careful when I break out Nelusar since it's pretty powerful lol. As long as the playgroup is okay with wheeling

Oh I like that a lot !! It's so tough to find something to take out of Nekusar, but this would definitely be worth it.
