Funny how all these epic eaters say 'that was very very tasty' after they down 7+ pounds of food. I can't imagine you can eat 1/2 pound of something you don't like. But. On some level, people, who might target these 'large' eaters, are wondering if they're escaping some sort of penalty, by commenting on 'taste,' after the meal. You know? If they said something like . . it was like drinking water . . people might think they have a right to intervene mid-meal in some antagonistic way. I'm pretty sure eaters like Nela, Chestnut and Stoney have numerous stories, from when they could first remember, of strangers literally taking food out of their hands. What I notice is how a 'massive' eater, and especially a massive eater that is very pretty like Nela, uses her hands or rather 'sleight' of hand to manipulate people, who are watching her eat, by visually and by 'stages,' deescalating their need to intervene.
