I lived in Belleville, IL, (about 20 minutes from St. Louis) from 2001 to 2004. It was an awesome time for St. Louis. First you had Nelly and the St. Lunatics blowing up, then the Super Bowl "Greatest show on turf" St Louis Rams with Kurt Warner, not to mention the St Louis Cardinals with then single season Home Run King Mark McGwire. And not to forget the St. Louis Blues hockey team was doing well. Looking back on it now, it just kinda seems like that was a really special few years for St. Louis, and I am so glad I got to be a part of it. I used to love hopping on the Metro Link in Belleville and in 20 minutes it would drop me feet from Busch Stadium. Then after the baseball game was over, you could go stand on a balcony over where the players from both teams came out to the buses. Great way to pass the time while you were waiting for the lines to thin out to get back home on the train. So yeah, everytime I hear Nelly, it takes me back to some very cool memories. Love ya Nelly🤘
